Otherwise known as I've gotten all the "Victor memories" I wanted to add to the game written up, AND got screenshots of the areas they'd be in! Thank you again, Helloween. :P You can see the whole thing here.
-TTV: I'm a little surprised you haven't started writing for his verse yet.-
I probably will this weekend -- I'm just trying to finish up a few other things first. Speaking of which, anybody want a 25 Foods?
6. Orange Juice
“Goodness, are we actually having breakfast by ourselves?”
Alice nodded, handing Victor a glass of orange juice. “The girls are out for an early walk before it gets too hot.” She gave him a rather salacious grin. “I thought we might take advantage of the quiet.”
Victor chuckled as he sipped his drink. “Not too much advantage,” he cautioned. “We don’t want them walking in on us.”
“Oh, they’re sure to be away for an hour at least,” Alice smirked. “So eat fast, my--”
There was a sudden, urgent-sounding knock at the front door. Victor and Alice shared a puzzled look. “The girls wouldn’t knock,” Alice murmured.
“I’ll see who it is,” Victor said, heading for the front hallway, juice still in hand.
Opening the door revealed two familiar faces. “Chester! Allison!” Victor said, surprised. “What are you doing here so early?”
“We have some news for you,” Chester said, with a happy yet nervous smile (rather reminiscent of Victor’s own).
“News?” Alice repeated, joining her husband.
Allison nodded, blushing. “We’ve just had the doctor in,” she said.
“At this time of the morning?” Victor felt a wave of anxiety. “Is one of you sick?”
Chester and Allison shared a look. “Not sick, exactly,” Allison said, folding her hands. “I’ll be fine in nine months.”
“Yes,” Chester said, grinning at his now very confused parents. “Right about the time you’ll – you’ll be – Grandma and Grandpa.”
Later, Victor and Alice would admit that, while they were thrilled by the news, they did wish Chester and Allison had chosen a moment when Victor didn’t have a nearly-full glass of orange juice in his hand to announce it. It took weeks to get the smell fully out of the carpet.
-TTV: *laughs* Yes, that's very true. Never give me shocking news -- even pleasantly shocking news -- when I'm holding anything. It will end up on the floor.-
*giggle* I figured. This is another "Solicitor's Ward"-verse fic, obviously set when Victor and Alice have reached about middle age. I was reading a comic earlier about some guy chronicling his wife's pregnancy and then his new fatherdom, and I got inspired to post this one. I can just imagine any Victor being shocked into dropping something at the news he's gonna be a grandpa.
-TD: *trying to figure out the timeline* Wait -- Chester's married, but his sisters are still living at home?-
-D: Unmarried women of that time period would, but how old is Chester?-
Actually, he's pretty young in this -- only about 20 or so. He marries at 19 in this verse because he's that head-over-heels for Allison. Victor and Alice can respect this, of course. The baby's a bit of a surprise, but he and Allison are very happy.
-VuM: *curious* Boy or girl?-
Boy -- named Vincent. XD Since he doesn't have a brother with that name in this verse. . . Anyway, this is just a bit of fluffy humor based around things you don't want to spill on carpets.
-VM: I wonder how Chester and Allison would have reacted if they'd come just a bit later. I mean, it's pretty obvious how Alice wanted to spend the time alone. . .
*giggle* Let's let them never find out. XD
-VD2: Keep going at this rate, and you could have both the 25 Foods and the Drabbles88 tables finished by the end of the month.-
I know -- shocker, right? We'll see how things go. As it is, I gotta prepare for bed, because tomorrow I gotta get up around 6. Razzum frazzum early final. . .but I should be able to get to the mall afterward, which will be nice. Wish me luck!

Date: 2012-05-12 12:52 am (UTC)I spent over $200 on a $60 toy (it's kind of worth less than that; he's awesome but I'd pay $20/$30 nowadays). And Ed hasn't let me forget it four years later.
