Secondly, I uploaded one of my old stories, Absence of Hate, to FF.net. (That link should work, but we'll see.) You guys have probably seen it before -- it was the Nell-centric one focusing on her feelings around Victor's birth that was up on my old site. I tweaked it a little and uploaded it. Coming up next will be the FF.net version of "Losing You." Shouldn't differ too terribly from the version on LJ, but there will be changes here and there. Anyway, enjoy all the reading!

Ehhh....okay, it's horrible to lose a child in any stage of their life (hell, I still check on Antoinette if I get up during the night to make sure she's still breathing because I'm paranoid like that). I suppose I can feel a little sorry for Nell, especially losing Anna like that, but only a little. She should've been happy to have a child at all, never mind the gender.

Well, that's my opinion anyway.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel about it. She gets a touch of sympathy for suffering such a tragedy -- but only a touch. The main problem with her is, she never really gets over Anna. I believe I once had Forgotten Vows comment that he feels like he's lived his entire life being compared to a sister he never really had after he found out about Anna -- and he's not really wrong. Nell would deny it, but Nell's good at ignoring things she doesn't like, even about herself.

Oh! While I'm thinking about it, could you give me a ballpark figure of how long after Secundus Doc and Marty go back to Hill Valley? And how long after Victor went Creative that Ferdinand came to be?

I'm only asking so I have some insight in case I do want to do The Continuing Adventures of Touched!AL, though I suppose I could set some things between the end and the epilogue since there's four months to play with there.

Hmmmm, okay. . . Well, obviously Ferdy comes into existence before the wedding. :p I'd say he's about a month old, maybe a little over, by the time of Victor and Alice's wedding day.

As for Doc and Marty going back -- my series "A Secundus Christmas" has them staying around for Victor's first Christmas in the city, so they'd probably get news that it was okay to go home the following January. So they'd leave shortly after that. By the start of "Secundus 2" (which is about two years after "Secundus"), it's been about a -- year and a half, I guess, since they lived in Secundus and Victor could see them regularly.
