Well That Explains a Lot
Jan. 4th, 2013 11:17 pmGot my period today, so that explains why I've felt so reluctant to do anything and had such trouble concentrating. Stupid hormones! *grrr* Our house internet having a mysterious slowdown period this afternoon did not help matters in the slightest. *grumble*
Not all bad today, though: I finished "Portal 2!" And yes, I did die a lot in the final boss fight -- but not just from listening to dialogue. In fact, I spent quite a lot of time dying because I wasn't sure how you were supposed to get Rick the Adventure Core and the Fact Core. I mean, I could see the basic mechanics (the splatters of Repulsion and Propulsion Gel), but it took me forever to figure out how to get them. And where exactly I was supposed to attach them to Wheatley. NOT A GOOD THING IN A TIMED FIGHT.
Still, I made it, I got the awesome ending, and the awesome ending cutscenes, and the awesome ending song, and the final ending that made me want to hug Wheatley so bad. :( Aww, Wheaters, don't be sad! There's always fanfiction.
Anyway, so that's "Portal 2!" I'll be playing it again in the future -- after all, there's still developer's commentary to listen to! I should really get back to Sims at some point, though. Depressing how long its been.
Also,
gigs_83 pointed me toward a cute Let's Play of Okami in response to my last post, which I'm watching. Nice-looking game! I get the feeling Ammy would fit in very well in Alice's Mysterious East. And it looks fun too.
And now, back to RP and wrestling with this application.

Date: 2013-01-05 05:12 am (UTC)*should get the Wii set back up and keep playing Okami* Ed moved the table thing with the Wii on it to make room for the Christmas tree. Tree's gone and he hasn't brought it back out. :/ Typical man...if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself.

Date: 2013-01-05 05:10 pm (UTC)I don't mind blind LPing sometimes, although it helps if I personally don't know the game. Then I tend to yell at LPers for missing stuff. (The only one exempt is Helloween because -- well, I love him. And he does try!) Yeah, I've noticed a lot of them have TV Tropes pages! We have a nice little directory of LPers over there.

Date: 2013-01-05 05:26 pm (UTC)Helloween does try, yes. He's endeared himself to me, so... :p
Chugga actually praised the people who run his TV Tropes page (that made it to Crowning Moment of Heartwarming) for keeping it updated.
