crossover_chickGranted, it's not nearly as bad as it was -- I can get through the day without turning on my air conditioner -- but it's still there. Ended up soaked with sweat when I took a walk earlier today. And I still need to use my air-con at night, otherwise my room's just too hot. Blaaaaah. Late July, what will we do with you?
Life continues apace -- though I didn't get too much done on the writing front. Just keep getting distracted by different things. Tis annoying, yes. I vow to do better tomorrow! I did listen to a podcast by American McGee about the potential idea of Otherlands. It is kind of "Psychonauts"-y in nature -- Alice is jumping into people's minds, and rearranging things to try and better them and the world around them. Although maybe I shouldn't necessarily say that, given McGee's example was Alice jumping into a young Jack the Ripper's head and turning him into Jack the Ripper. I'd, uh, rather that not happen, Mr. McGee. Kinda creepy. Anyway, it seems she's going to be fighting this huge corrupting influence on both the physical and mental worlds, which sounds pretty cool. Gotta get the funding for him to buy the film rights first, though: Kickstarter here for the curious Almost halfway there at the almost halfway point! I need to figure out just how much I want/can afford to pledge -- I should probably go for a lower tier, but $35 one with the digital version of the artbook calls to me. . . On the other hand, I'd really want a physical copy of it to put next to my other one. . .decisions, decisions. . .
