crossover_chickToday is a day of EXPLOSIONS! And JULES VERNE! And ALL THE BEST STUFF BEING MADE IN JAPAN! And:
Doc: *reading his own tombstone* Shot in the back by Buford Tannen over a matter of eighty dollars? *turning to Marty looking VERY upset* What kind of a future do you call that?!
So yeah, not exactly the most positive of days. At least Doc has some forewarning of his future death so it can be prevented! And kick off the main plot to Part III.
Oh by the way INTERESTING PARALLEL: I just realized that Buford threatening to kill Doc over the 80 dollars -- which is mostly made up of the cost of a horse Buford was thrown off and then shot -- is kind of the equivalent of Biff wanting to take his $300 car bill for the manure out of Marty's ass. And Part I actually starts off with Biff passing the bill for wrecking George's car back onto George! Moral: Do not fuck with a Tannen's transportation, and if you do, expect to suffer violence as "reparation" for the monetary damages they suffer. (Our exception is Griff, but then he went to jail before he could get on Marty Junior's case for the broken tail light on his car.)
Quiet day, though pleasantly warmer than the last two have been -- I got a walk in, shock of shocks! Which is good because I needed to deposit my paycheck and activate my new debit card. I also have another nice BTTF lunch, and I caught up on my reread of the "let's summarize BTTF I's rather kooky novelization" tumblr. Also caught up on some of Helloween's stuff, since I'm falling behind there again. And did another pass on Chapter 20, so that's good stuff.
Right now, though, I have tags to get to -- I was going to do so earlier, but then I had my walk, and after that I got caught up in the aforementioned tumblr. . .and I had to catch the last few minutes of Sharknado (my parents watched it on Netflix). XD At least it's been a quieter day than usual on tumblr -- so later!
