Fire Lizard Obsession
Nov. 19th, 2013 10:32 pmGod damn it I really have to get my hands on at least one of the Harper Hall trilogy because this is getting a bit ridiculous. Today I spent a good chunk of my afternoon working out just how big the fire lizards from the
nestoflitts Pern would be. You can see my results here. I definitely think this "Pern Crash" AU is going to become a thing for any future drabble sets I do. Not that I mind, since I really do like fire lizards and the ideas I'm coming up for the world, but really. All this over cute shoulder-sized dragons.
Today was mostly about doing things around the house -- the usual Tuesday cleaning, plus sealing up my windows since winter is most definitely here. Cold air is coooold. :( I also accidentally broke one of Dad's clay bears that Mom made him -- was trying to dust and move it at the same time and it went flying. D: He's fixable, but I'm still kind of embarrassed. Gotta be more careful in the future. Also keeping an eye on the job front -- Mom and Dad have been strongly suggesting that I take a skills course of some sort from CCRI to aid me on this front. Mom keeps pushing medical transcriptionist, but there's nothing I can see on the site for that. There is an online administrative assistant thing, which could be useful, and a on-Knight-campus workshop about getting a job that runs over a few weeks. Dunno when exactly it's held, though -- I'll have to take another look and/or e-mail someone. Honestly, given my tendency toward insisting all my information be in neat categories somewhere, I should look for something that allows me to do that for work. Let me file all the things!
Anyway, I've got some stuff going on tumblr, and it's feeling oddly quiet around here so I want to put on some music. Later!
