25 Days of Multiverse #7
Dec. 7th, 2013 06:56 pmAnd it has been a WASH of a day, let me tell you. I didn't end up waking up until NOON, and I didn't get on the computer until about 2 -- and even then I didn't spend a lot of time on it. And the time I DID spend was largely spent on TV Tropes looking up stuff on A Christmas Carol and its adaptations. Ah well, Saturdays were meant for being lazy, I guess -- even if I am technically on house-sitting duty right at the moment. :P So while I do the massive catch-up on everything I've missed by being a lump all day, let me give you your drabble:
Day Seven:
“Oh, look at the snow!”
Victor turned his head toward Victoria, who was standing at the window, transfixed by the fat falling flakes. “I think we’re going to be snowed in this holiday,” she continued.
“Really?” Victor got up to join her. Sure enough, the outside world was nothing but a mass of white. “Oh my. Yes, I do believe you’re right. We’re not going to be able to leave the house until after the holiday.”
“I don’t think our parents will be able to see us either,” Victoria said.
A pause. “This is going to be an absolutely lovely Christmas.”
-TTV: O.O Did you just --
Yes, it's not like I'm ALLERGIC to canon fic! For all my near-obsessive love of Valice, I do like Victor/Victoria and Victor/Emily. And Victor/Victoria/Emily, which you will see on another day. I was inspired by a fic that's popped up on FF.net, Madame Plaisir's Establishment, that's all about Victor visiting a certain "establishment" -- okay, I have to spoil it for you to understand, he's getting Victoria a Christmas present. It's good stuff, even if the writer is -- well, let me put this way, sometimes I think she's the female version of TAS's Jules Brown. :p She does write well, her dialogue is just a tad stiff at times. But it's still good stuff -- and in this fic, Victoria has some good news for Victor -- which he guesses as being the death of at least one of their parents.
-TTV: Oh my God it's not just you that does that.-
XD What can I say, you have some delightfully "snarky little shit" expressions in the canon! And as you can see, a sort of variation -- snowed in meaning not having to put up with the four -- made it into this drabble. :P But then again, we all know Nell and Maudeline, so. . .
-TTV: *capitulating* Yes, yes, I'd be happy too.-
:D Knew it.
All right, time to play the catch-up game. Have a good night, all!
