25 Days of Multiverse #18

As I slowly get driven insane by my own body. . . I really hate PMS. I also really hate that something ALWAYS seems to come up whenever I make the vow to get on the RPing front earlier. Today it was a combination of having no idea when I was going in to housesit (note to self, never pack up early again), not having internet while housesitting (Mom left me the lady who lives there's iPad Mini to use, but given it had none of my bookmarks/passwords, it wouldn't have helped me much -- and as things turned out, I didn't even use the damn thing; I was in the middle of reading A Christmas Carol when I got the 'yes you ARE coming over' call and I ended up finishing that instead because I really do like that story and wanted to read it before Christmas), and making the stupid decision to go on TV Tropes (can I at least partially blame Helloween for playing the sequel to The Suffering and making me want to look it up). So yeah, I've had to slowtime DW threads and take a hiatus day from tumblr again. At least tomorrow is my last class, so I'll be free to stay up late again to catch up. And hopefully the red curse will just COME already so I can have it over with. Meeeh.
Well, I'm just full of Christmas cheer, aren't I? Here, let me make up for it with today's drabble:
Day Eighteen:
“It’s freezing!”
“Yes, we are experiencing a smidge of Arctic chill, aren’t we?” Doc agreed, letting his assistant in. “It’s supposed to pass before the week’s out, though.”
“I hope so – I don’t want my Christmas break to be ruined because I can’t go outside for more than ten seconds,” Marty said, rubbing his hands. “Can’t you go ahead a day or two and check?”
“Marty! You want me to use my time machine to predict the weather?”
“Why not? It’s about the safest use for it, right?”
“. . .Despite the pathetic realization that you’re probably correct, the answer is still no.”
-M: Hey, the weatherman can't do it.-
-D: Until we hit the year 2015.-
-M: Well they've got a lot to do in a year, don't they?-
*snickers* This is kind of generic, but I've got it classed as NonTrilogy simply because -- think of it as another blast from the past. This is just some silly fun inspired by the fact that it's been pretty freaking cold around here for the past few days. No below-zero temps, fortunately, but still. Making it even weirder that it's supposed to hit the 50s ever so briefly on Sunday (which, I might add, is right after winter officially starts). Still, I'll take it -- I'm sick of this weather, seriously.
-D: Might I assume that this is also a sly joke on the convertible DeLoreans of The Ride?-
LOL, yes, you may. It was originally more explicit, with Doc actually saying that maybe he should make it into a convertible and time travel only to the sunny days, but it evolved into this more subdued form. *shrug* Still think it's fun.-
Okay, there's at least one more DW tag I should do, and then. . .honestly, I kind of just want to sleep. Which is probably a good thing, seeing I do have to go to bed in a half-hour. Night!
