Low-Key Birthday

Mom had work and Dad had to have a tooth pulled, so there hasn't been much in the way of celebration today. That's all kind of waiting for Monday, when Mom will actually have a day off and we can do something. Still, it's been a pretty damn good birthday all told. Here's what I got:

-->The iPad Mini (that shocker I received last night -- I'm still getting it all set up, although I think I've found a mahjong game I like more than Mahjong Titans on there)
-->Shower gel, moisturizer, and homemade lavender soap from my aunt, uncle, and cousins
-->A "Save The Clock Tower" t-shirt from same
-->Two "Holiday Cash" scratch tickets from same -- and I actually won a dollar on one
-->The Science of Discworld (this is actually a delayed Christmas gift -- or, rather, one-third of one. My parents got me all three of them, but so far only the first has arrived. Since it came on my birthday, I'm counting it as a birthday gift :P)
-->Dragonsong & Dragonsinger (what I THOUGHT my parents had ordered -- that turned out to be the Science of Discworld books. As I'd originally suspected, my parents already had copies. They don't consider them really to be presents, but I do)
-->A lovely photoset from my friend Rose
-->A "Happy Birthday" e-mail from Helloween4545 that was set up by Gigs :D (I also had a bit of banter with him on clockworkdoc's twitter XD)

So yeah, I'm in a pretty good mood right now. I also watched some more of my Linkara DVD -- the "Hitler is punched by everyone" episode (XD Linkara's enthusiasm for Hitler's pain is adorable), and the "Making-Of" featurette. Tomorrow I'll finish it off with the "Character Origins" featurette. I also made forgotten_vows's pet list look pretty: See it here

Yeah, just fixed it -- still not over the habit of putting " after the character's name, since you need quotes when you do it on LJ. . . ^^;

Yeah, when I wrote both your usernames on my post I actually had to look up how to do it on DW because, well...I don't use them usually. :p

Haha, awww!! He's so awesome, lol.

TBH when he wished me a happy birthday in a video I instantly had the idea to ask him to do it for you on yours, so yesterday I created a separate Twitter account so you couldn't see me do it. :p He followed my real Twitter to DM me (and if he keeps the follow that'd be cool, haha) to ask if a personal message would work and I gave him a few ways to contact you (the two Twitters, your email and your FF.net; I hope you don't mind...I wanted to surprise you). I'm glad it worked out in some way for you. :)
