Spider-Man 2 was AWESOME. Tobey Maguire is a terrific actor -- he is Spider-Man. And Doc Ock was simply cool. I mean, he never meant to be really evil. He was trying to do good things, and it backfired drastically on him. And the bits with Harry Osborn -- hehehehehehe. TERRIFIC movie. Can't wait until 3. *fingers crossed that, in some way, Venom will show up*
-D: Who's Venom?-
He's kind of like a very twisted version of Spider-Man. I'm afraid my knowledge is a bit limited. He's a bad guy, but he's not really a killer. (Except in Spidey's case, I believe he wants to kill him.) I've got a comic featuring him, and he keeps saying he wants to protect people from Spidey.
-M: Sounds like a wack-job.-
Yeah. Explain to me why I like him.
Anyway, Spider-Man 2 was the greatest since X-2, so now I have to see what's new on my Spider-Man Deluxe Edition DVD set. *shiver* Marvel, just for Spidey and the X-Men, I LOVE YOU.
Here's something interesting -- I think Stan Lee makes one cameo in every Marvel movie. He's an older guy with big glasses and gray hair. I've seen some Marvels, so here's a quick list:
X-Men --> He's the hot-dog guy on the beach when Senator Kelly emerges from the water.
X-2 --> Haven't seen him in there yet.
Spider-Man --> He's in the World Unity vest, he pulls a little girl away from the review stand wreckage.
Spider-Man 2 --> Once again, I think he pulls someone away from getting crushed while Doc Ock is terrorizing a building.
Hulk --> He's coming out of the building Banner works with, along with the original TV series Hulk I believe.
Daredevil --> I didn't watch this one, so I can't tell ya.

Took you long enough...

Took you till NOW to see it? Spidey would be ashamed. Tsk Tsk Tsk.....

Yeah, you got the number on Venom. You see, he's really Eddie Brock, a news reporter for the rival of the Bugle, and he thought he had discovered the identity of a famous killer called the Sin Eater, but Spider-Man caught the real one and accidentally proved Brock wrong. Because of this, Brock became a laughing stock, and assumed Spidey did it on purpose. At the time, Spidey was wearing a living costume he's gotten from The Secret Wars, and he found out it was alive (took him forever to figure it out) and got rid of it by using loud noise. Thus, rejected, the symbiote ran, and found Eddie Brock, they joined becuase of their hate of Spidey. The symbiote knew how to replicate Spidey's powers, webbing, and all his secrets. Thus, Venom knows that Pete is Spidey. And he knows how to block out Pete's Spider-Sense.

He was created by both David Michelline and Todd McFarlane, who went on to make Spawn. However, Venom became and Anti-Hero and at one time was Spidey's friend. He got a whole run of limited series, making him a 'lethal protector' of those he deemed innocent. But it was overkill. Thus, Venom's sorta exiled from the comics because fans grew to hate his non-Spidey killing and hating ways. However, they recently tried to bring Venom back to the dark side by Eddie's ex-wife supposedly being killed by Spidey, thus, Venom is back as he should be, but he still leaves a sour taste in fans' mouths.

*whew* And all of that from memory....

Hey, my family doesn't like crowds at the movies. I was clamoring to see it by the 8th. But since I don't plan on learning to drive until we move to Florida. . . .

Man, you're good with this Venom stuff. I knew about the Eddie Brock thing, but I didn't know about David and Todd and the limited series. Thanks for the info. (Really, I think it's the tongue. I think that tongue is sexy.)
-D: *eyes wide* What -- the ---
Yes, I'm strange.

I've changed my "Who is the next main Spidey villian" guess. I think the new villian will be Lizard. His alter-ego, Dr. Conners (sp?) was kinda set up in this movie, complete with missing arm. Just a hunch I've got.
