Yeah, uh, made the mistake of trying to find an OT3 shipping meme in preparation for Valentine's this year (I did Valice ship memes last year, so now I want to do a Valicer one this year), got caught up in the "ot3 meme" tag and got Valicer feels. ^^; But I have completed all of my Standard Weekday To-Dos:

Work – Busier day than yesterday, as we had to make a bunch of phone calls to people to get approvals on a letter we’re sending out on their behalf – this and looking up someone’s credit card issue took up most of my morning, and then it was back to obituaries and the like in the afternoon. *shrug* Could have been a lot worse!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike again tonight, to finish off the 2021 Oxventure Holiday Special, “Hog Wild!” Despite having been concussed by Egbert poorly driving the mechanical boar, Argyle and his friends agreed to join up with the others to get back at the property developers (possibly to avoid being run over by Egbert again). With the truce made, the gang prepared to leave –

Only for Dob to stop everyone and go “You know, we’re not planning on tricking them into thinking it’s an actual pig – let’s make it look METAL first!” This was easily agreed to, and we had a montage of the gang kitting out the boar Mad Max: Fury Road-style – Dob helping construct a sort of cage atop it that Merilwen could ride in and shoot arrows off of, with him, Ricky, and Argyle all hanging off it (Dob having changed his drinking horn into a war horn by chopping off the end and Prestidigitating flames out of it); Prudence managing to kind of armor it up with the iron-like bark of a millennium-old tree that Egbert knocked down while learning how to drive; Corazon painting it (and himself) up with berries he found in the woods, naming it the “Porkchop Express” in the process (he did so well on the roll that Johnny said he found BIOLUMINESCENT berries and got a cool glow going on); and Egbert getting a crash course in how to actually drive the boar (Johnny said that he was going to feel confident he could drive it no matter what he rolled; fortunately he rolled a twelve, and thus actually retained some of the information XD). Once they were fully kitted out, everyone got into position, and Egbert rolled out –

And managed, with the help of some fantastic Strength/Athletics rolls, to do a proper burnout and just drift the pig all the way around the spiral and back to the camp! One of the guys in a leg started throwing up, yes, but still. XD They arrived at the camp to find it had expanded considerably, Cesuira having brought in a whole bunch of loggers sharpening axes and getting some wild mechanical mega-saw ready for the assault on the forest. Corazon decided they might as well get a warning and yelled from atop the boar that they’d better surrender before the group went hog wild!

Johnny promptly said “roll for initiative.” XD Dob once again rolled highest and – after his initial plan of trying to commandeer the big mechanical saw by leaping into the mechanism was shot down by Corazon and Egbert saying, “sorry, you’re going to THROW YOURSELF INTO A GIANT SAW? Wearing only a g-string?” – once again used Shatter to his advantage, blowing up the machine instead. It didn’t exactly send killer sawblades flying everywhere like he wanted, but it at least put the giant saw out of commission. He then blew his horn to pass some Bardic Inspiration onto Merilwen, who Called Lightning down on Cesuira and his closest henchmen. Only did 15 points of damage, but he did get thrown backward very dramatically! Argyle and his team went next, with Dirk having a rather poor showing with a Storm Sphere that barely did any damage to anyone –

But then Argyle leapt off the boar and just SQUASHED two men flat beneath him, and Ricky jumped off and used his monkly fighting prowess to just PUNCH A MAN’S HEAD OFF. It was around this time that Johnny admitted the other adventurers were level 14. XD Egbert decided the thing to do after seeing THAT was try and scoop up Cesuira and throw him like an American football; unfortunately a middling Acrobatics check (since it was more of a finesse move) and a paltry one damage meant that he more or less just went up and snuffled Cesuira with the snout. Though Dirk WAS in the boar’s mouth, so that had to count a bit for intimidation purposes. . . And indeed, when Corazon (who was a bit horrified by some of the carnage – he’d just been having fun dancing up here!) gave Cesuira a second chance to surrender, he smashed the Charisma roll, and Cesuira was only too ready to give up. Johnny recognized this wasn’t really fair to Prudence, though, who had rolled last in initiative order, and thus gave her an opportunity to do something about the frantic loggers, not having heard their leader call off the attack, trying to chop into the legs of the boar (and not having much luck thanks to her armor). Prudence crawled out the “hatch” at the back and – after verifying Charm Person only works on single targets – used her Thaumaturgy spooky voice to scare them all into compliance, getting them to drop their weapons and bow down so low their heads were in the snow, before sending them scooting away like human snowmobiles. XD Corazon demanded all of Cesuira’s cash before they left, and Cesuira took them to the chest that contained all of the workers’ wages, pointing out that they’d just put like 80 people out of work on Solstice Eve.

Cue Corazon feeling something baffling – GUILT. He wasn’t sure what was going on, but suddenly he found himself with an urge to give the money to the workers. Egbert tried to slap him out of it, but that just convinced him to maybe set up a foundation to preserve the forest instead, causing Argyle and his friends to quickly muscle in and get their share first. XD It was eventually decided that yes, they’d use the money to set up a foundation to preserve the forest (and Corazon’s memory, even if he was still alive), and they’d hire all the loggers back as forest rangers so they wouldn’t be out of jobs. Corazon promptly began talking about getting them to carve him a statue out of the biggest tree in the wood – Merilwen, mindful of what they’d already DONE to the forest, promptly used Stoneshape to instead create him one. And so the episode ended with everyone deciding to have their Solstice feast in the show home that Cesuira and company had built while the Oxventurers were away, and Dob eating the plastic fruit he found in there. XD A delightful end to the adventure, and to 2021! Only a year behind now. . .

Oh, and I did watch one video from Petey Plays It afterward – 5 items he likes from Outdoor Retreat! Tents, coolers, horseshoe pits, the log seats and matching table, and the campfires, along with an honorable mention for the homemade plant pot you can make on the woodworking bench. Good stuff, and gives me ideas for stuff I could put on Off-The-Grid lots. . .

2. Continue writing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland:” Check – Alice got back safely to Confession (having left a BIT of a kerfluffle behind her, but fortunately it didn’t get so bad that the actual police were called, so. . .) and reported back to Venus, who graciously allowed her to keep all of the money she conned out of Boris. She also graciously offered Alice a drink, and Alice, in trying to remember what excuse she gave Fat Larry to try and politely refuse, has just remembered that the legal drinking age in America is twenty-one. . . (in England, it’s eighteen). Yeah, Venus is about to freak out a little about the fact that Alice is only twenty. XD She’s a very competent twenty, at least?

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – bit of a tight squeeze, but I got in both uploads for the day –

A) First up, Call Me Kevin with another run through Route 96 in “Being a terrible person in a randomly generated Hitchhiking game!” This is that game where you’re a teenager running for the boarder in a country controlled by a horrible tyrant, and your trip is procedurally generated, meaning it’s very hard to get the same game twice. This run, Kevin was a precocious 14 year old, and met a fellow runaway teen, Zoe, while getting a ride with her from some people who encouraged them to try and change the world – and then Zoe started mouthing off to a cop who pulled them over for speeding, and Kevin’s attempt to help her left him stranded on the side of the road; stumbled into Sam and Mitch’s (the criminal team) hideout, got taken hostage and robbed of all his money (which was at least partly THEIR money), only to earn it back by helping them figure out when someone was going to try and assassinate Sonya, the famous broadcaster (after two failed tries because Kevin doesn’t understand American dates and misread a letter); helped tech genius and video game creator Alex try to steal money from a diner safe, only to be caught – but still manage to get away with like forty extra bucks and a car (yes, a CAR); get yanked into a high-speed police pursuit while driving said car thanks to the terrorist group the Brigades attacking when the local friendly cop pulled him over (he’s fourteen remember); ended up at the Brigades’ actual hideout, became an air hockey champ (earning more money), and getting pulled into their little freedom fighting cell and voting to blow up a billboard to make a statement (and then stealing another car – FOURTEEN); picking up Sonya herself after a limo crash and taking her to a payphone while she insisted on having a dance party (a silent one because Kevin had the music turned off due to copyright reasons); and finally just BARELY making it past the border after a nice stroll by the river thanks to giving away some of his money to a teen in need, meaning he didn’t have QUITE enough to pay a smuggler to take him all the way over the border – and when the teen he helped tried to help him, they weren’t able to get past the guards and had to flee in a hail of gunfire. And the other teen died helping Kevin over the fence to cross (or at least got shot, so, ow). A very chaotic journey, but at least he didn’t immediately get shot in the face like the very first time he played? XD

B) Then it was time for the very quick shot of GrayStillPlays today – “5 Myths in GTA 5 #shorts!” I’ve come to the conclusion that these are “teasers” of the videos he releases exclusively for channel members, as I’ve noticed some of them stop with him saying he’s moving onto something else that never comes. . . Anyway, this “teaser” was him testing a few suggested “myths” from his audience in GTA V– you can’t parachute on top of a palm tree (busted, he found a way to clip into the middle of it and stand there); you can’t knock jetskiers off the jetski by skydiving into them (proved, he tried a couple of times and they were stuck VERY firmly to their seats); you can’t help the police apprehend another criminal because they’ll just turn on YOU (proved, Gray tried to help take out an out-of-control taco truck by shooting out a tire and immediately got shot himself); you can’t throw a grenade through the blades of a helicopter prop (APPARENTLY proven, it was hard to see what the hell happened before the helicopter blew up, but physics wasn’t happy); and you can defeat a tank by throwing sticky bombs on it from a scooter if you have Franklin’s ability (proved, Franklin’s ability slows time, so the top of the tank can’t get into position to shoot at you, and you can throw the bombs to your hearts’ content before blasting it away). Good stuff!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – two ask replies over on Valice Multiverse, one I answered as Smiler just to get them out there a little more.

Not bad, not bad. And I may have to schedule more time with the OT3 tags on tumblr this weekend. XD As it is, I do need to head to bed -- got a Friday the 13th to make it through before said weekend! Night all!
