Yeah, fortunately today was not nearly as bad when it came to the old "aaaah I have too much to doooo" levels of stress this evening --

Work – Commute in was better (more typical traffic), and my talky coworker had to leave to pick up a grandkid early on, so I did NOT have to spend the day listening to her shit political opinions, thank you. I DID spend the morning listening to a Christian music station that played utter shit because my other coworker changed the station, but fortunately she was okay with me changing it to a classic 80s station (aaaaaaaa the 80s are classic) around lunchtime, so I didn’t COMPLETELY lose my mind. Oh, and work itself went fine – did some more duplicates, helped coworker figure out all the payments on someone’s pledge, got her help figuring out what a certain withdrawal Fiscal had made me aware of us. *shrug* Made the day go by! And tomorrow I get to go home early, yaay. . .in the rain, but eh. *shrugs* I’ll still take it. (Oh, and no beanbags, as we had a few early sprinkles today, and it just wasn’t looking nice this afternoon. We’ll catch up once it dries out!)

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – having finished up “Fate Of The Dimmer Sisters” yesterday with an impulsive watch of the last ten minutes after supper, I moved onto the James Turner episode of the week with today’s bike ride – “I'm playing as the chef in my restaurant! Dine Out (Part 3)!” Yes, we’re back with Addison’s “Dine Out Reloaded” spin-off series of the main High School Years Rags To Riches Generational Epic, with Addison now officially living in Oasis Springs (having gotten just enough money from their Dads to buy a house there) to run their restaurant full-time now that they’re a young adult! This process was a bit fiddly (James’s first attempt to move Addison out resulted in them having to rebuy their restaurant at a single star rating without any of their original staff – James rolled back the save to redo the move so Addison could keep everything as it was), but things have been going well for Addison since! I’ve gotten through two of the three days James played in this episode so far, and here’s how they went:

A) Day One – Addison opened for a very productive nine hours – their staff is starting to get the swing of things, especially with all their extra training, and almost all of the diners left very satisfied with their meals. Including TWO restaurant critics, each of whom gave a four-star review. :D Addison wandered around being a good welcoming host, cleaning up evil placemats, and eventually cornering their staff to actually pay for additional training for them all so they could be even better. :) The restaurant closed without MUCH in the way of spare cash, but everyone was pretty happy, and the staff were all trained up. Addison also trained up themselves a bit by practicing the gourmet cooking skill (getting up to level 3) before hitting the sack. . .

B) Day Two – And then, on the second day, James activated the mod’s “Sous Chef” system so Addison could join Agatha in the kitchen and work as the chef! The system means that Addison and Agatha need to work together to complete meals – if Addison isn’t cooking, Agatha can’t actually complete any orders. This day wasn’t QUITE as good for Addison – while they got a lot of skill from completing orders as a chef in both gourmet cooking and mixology, they weren’t able to give customers the “personal touch” so much, and whenever they took a break from the cooking (even just to go to the bathroom), the orders started piling up. They still kept up a decent quality of service, though, ending the day at about three-and-a-half stars overall. And they were able to afford both discounts on produce prices for their food AND discounts on training their staff, so that was good. :) The staff were happy too, because James looked at them working so hard and was like “you’re all underpaid,” and so promoted everybody so they got better salaries. :) Still, James decided Addison is currently better serving as the host instead of as head chef, so he’s turned the sous chef system off again for day three. We’ll see how THAT goes for Addison tomorrow!

2. Continue writing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – the juice was back tonight, I’m pleased to report, with me writing Alice leaving Venture Tower and heading for the Skyeline, ready to spend a miserable hour or so before dawn just staring at the wall – only for Victor to burst out of the apartment as soon as she neared it, clearly worried about her. Prompting Alice to have a lot of emotions and escape to the shower for a clean and a cry once she handed over her duffel bag so he could put the blood inside away. :( She’s all scrubbed up now, but she just heard Victor in her bedroom opening doors, and she’s a little curious as to what’s happening. . .nice things, Alice, I promise. For once.

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Two-thirds check, as I finally finished up all my writing early enough to get in both GrayStillPlays that I missed over the past couple of days –

A) From Tuesday, “Surviving 9000 hours underwater,” aka Gray plays Happy Wheels! We started with the typical bottle throw, with Gray seeking a shoutout again (along with visiting “Hawaii” and “The average hole of Flordia [sic]”), then moved on through a “death rain” board with Pogo Man (where the best way to survive the various weaponry and fruit falling from the sky was to stick his head under a convenient meteor sitting around nearby); a volcano-themed ball throw (after an early death, Gray won easily); a pogo laser dodge with a speedrunning mine in the corner (after an early death, Gray won easily); a “survive bicycling on the wrecking ball pendulum to get the coin” board (Gray won easily and THEN died XD); a “don’t move” board that saw Pogo Man get yeeted through ALL the spikes (losing ALL his limbs in the process); a “Peaceful Parkour” board that actually WAS pretty peaceful (there was a punchy floor and a fall down a secret hole, but other than that, pretty nice); an “impossible” thumbnail rope swing with two ways to win (Gray both got the secret coin hidden to the side AND the thumbnail win, because he’s awesome like that); a VERY tricky spike fall where you had to get both the right position AND the right speed to pick up a load of coins on your way down the bottom of the funnel to the win (Gray had to try this one a few times, but he got it!); an NPC fight where Gray had to dodge all of the sword-wielding NPCs and some homing mines (Young Tom Hardy got mulched early on, but Bike Dad made it through no problem); “Grampa 3,” a very weird board where Gray went around as Bike Dad watching various “grampas” murder and get murdered (while having to dodge getting murdered himself, culminating in him landing in a giant weird truck at the end before falling out and gradually pedaling his way to the win); and the Dylan Snider Board Of The Week, “Under Pressure,” where Bike Mom and her two children had to go on an underwater adventure to retrieve Mom’s lost engagement ring (said adventure involved many spiky jellyfish, spiky sharks, and a lovelorn pirate, and Mom totally ditching Sally and Baby Chaddicus to get through the former two XD). Good stuff, as always!

B) And from Wednesday, “Testing cars vs Wonders of the World in GTA 5!” An Alex and Petey Torture Board, with a “jumping over history” theme! Complete with teleporter checkpoints because this one was 1, a little tough, and 2, involved a lot of different biomes. Gray had to find the correct car that would allow him to make it across the Stonehenge Jump (a big leap over a Stonehenge in the middle of a floating field, with aliens both trying to abduct one bit of it (making it jump up and down in the middle of the board) and trying to abduct Gray (aka just past the jump on the landing platform was a flying saucer doing doughnuts with a teleporter attached that put Gray back in Stonehenge); the Great Wall of China Jump (a leap over part of the Great Wall going down a hill – Gray had to pick a side and thumbnail-hole the battlements to land on the platform on the other side); the Titanic Jump (a leap through the smokestacks of an incredibly well-created Titanic, avoiding the windmilling iceberg on the other side); the Durpy [sic] “Big Ben” Jump (a leap through the face of Big Ben – the clock face had no collision, but the wildly-spinning hands DID, so. . .); the Eiffel Tower Jump (a leap over the tower avoiding all of the various dancing helicopters around it and the decorative pond right behind it – and trust me, it was hard to avoid all those helicopters!); the Pyramids Of Giza Jump (three jumps over the Pyramids as they looked when they were shiny and new, with Gray having to avoid the teleporter beams that occasionally blasted out of their caps with careful timing and lots of speed); and finally Chichen Itza (which required Gray to drive down a road dodging rocks coming at him from the sides, leap a ramp, and perfectly thumbnail-hole the top of the temple, avoiding ANOTHER rock, so he could keep his speed to make a SECOND jump off a ramp into the winning checkpoint). The weird rustbucket truck with panels held on with duct tape did surprisingly well, ALMOST ramping Stonehenge, but Gray quickly figured out he needed as much speed and as much aerodynamics as possible. The Batmobile/Cruella De Vill car got all the way to the Titanic, but couldn’t make the jump; the orange race car/super car just BARELY got past the iceberg, but failed to make it through the Eiffel Tower helicopters. The ultimate winner proved to be an SUV with Fukara branding and a lot of speed and aerodynamics, JUST making it through all the final challenges through sheer Gray determination. XD And that is why you never give up, kids! :p Seriously, though, that was a cool board – I’d like another one, please! Maybe famous Floridian landmarks? :p

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – three ask replies over on Valice Multiverse, yay. I also posted my reply to Satirical’s reply on Victor Luvs Alice, and FINALLY answered Ace’s latest PM on FF.net. Hooray – your messages tomorrow, Moose!

*whew* Feels good to get stuff done, without feeling like I've over-extended myself. I have GOT to find a way to sum up the Oxventure stuff (both BITD and regular) more concisely so it doesn't take up so much time. . .in the meantime, though, I have to head to bed and get some sleep for my final half-day at work. Hopefully it's all right and I can get home and do more catching-up stuff! Night all!

Can you give me, like, an as-detailed-as-you-can description of Secundus!Lightning? I have an art planned for September and he may need to be part of it.

Oh yay!

Ok ok I'll tell you. As I was planning what to draw for Mark Hamill's birthday next month, I reminded myself that he's one of six of AL's romantic partners that have birthdays in September and I decided to draw a picture for all six of them, and since Jason David Frank (RIP...) is first on the 4th, his characters are first to be drawn. Not just Tommy, but Secundus!Adam Steel with alternate!AL, so I decided to include Lighting and, if I can somehow manage it (I have a "blue butterfly" brush for Clip Studio Paint I'm gonna try), Ferdy.

That and it's a way to distinguish or symbolize (my brain doesn't want to come up with the right wording rn) Adam Steel and AL. Tommy and Dex will have their suits included (all Tommy's Ranger colors for him and Dex in the Masked Rider suit with AL in her unicorn form with the suits since that's how she helps out while they're transformed), Jamie in his kilt, Gary with the newspaper and probably the cat, Luke will be with AL and Grogu will be asleep in her arms cuz I think it'll be cute. So there needs to be something that signifies the AU other than Victorian clothing (imma put Adam in a waistcoat).

I feel like I'm rambling lol.

Adam will be in a waistcoat. AL's gonna be in something that resembles what I put her Sim in in Sims 2 (pants, shirt, lab coat, and of course the goggles on the belt).

If I ever get another chance to actually sit and do them. Ruby has a UTI and bladder stones so she constantly wants to go outside, so every time I get ready to draw she starts whining that she wants to go out because she thinks she has to pee. She's on a prescription diet and antibiotics so I'm hoping it clears up and fast cuz I'm going bonkers.
