You know the Looney Labs BTTF Card Game? The one where you play as the descendant of one of the BTTF characters, and you have to alter the timeline to ensure your own existence? Sounds like fun, right?

Until you think about the fact that you're erasing from existence all the other players. ALL the other players, according to the reviews I've read. For some reason, Marty McFly III and Verne Brown can't exist in the same timeline. Or Marlin Berry (yes, you read that right -- apparently there's a card in there for a descendant of the lead singer of the Starlighters), who shouldn't affect ANYONE.

So, yeah. Win the game, and you've basically "killed" everyone else.

But don't worry -- since you win the game by uninventing time travel, you'll cease to exist too.

God, this game is dark once you start thinking about it. . .

Updated on the Liddells in [livejournal.com profile] ink_sec_sims. They're doing the best out of my multi-person families so far, methinks. Mostly because I'm on solid ground with the Family and Knowledge aspirations. We'll see if the trend continues. Oh, and I have another crazy townie name for you: Sinjin Couderc. I seriously have NO idea what my game is on.
Today I played a little of the Jones family in Eureka. Allison and Cyd are doing great -- a Networking opportunity with a friend of hers got Allison a big old TV. Their dog Porthos, though. . . I do not know WHAT happened, but suddenly that dog has decided he has to nearly starve himself before he'll eat. I bought him a new, expensive dog bowl, I put it where there was absolutely nothing blocking it, I had his owners call him to eat multiple times -- NOTHING. He just won't eat until his hunger's almost completely red.
-RPD: Not even calling him to eat worked?-
The action just immediately dropped out of his queue! I don't know -- hopefully it's a temporary glitch. Either that or he'll just keep doing what he's doing -- eating when he gets hungry enough -- and I'll get used to it. Damn it, I used to like that dog. . . .
Anyway. I also played some American McGee's Alice -- and weirdly enough, the Demon Die I've gotten is coming in handy! I almost never used it in previous playthroughs, now I'm finding it a good way to distract an enemy or two. Considering that they deal a lot more damage on Hard. . . .
-TTV: Ever think of trying Nightmare?-
Not without god mode on. I've SEEN how brutal the Boojums are on that. Poor, poor Helloween. . . .
Anyway, gotta get moving -- I've decided I need a mall trip, so I gotta get up a little earlier tomorrow. I mean, what the hell -- I would have been taking the bus normally anyway. At least this trip will be for fun.
-D: *joking* Going to try and prevent yourself from buying more Discworld?-
Actually, I'm over halfway through "Small Gods" (which is quite good), so I figure I can buy the next one, "Lords and Ladies." Which, if I remember correctly, is another Lancre Witches book -- and I do believe Verrence comes back in this one!
-VD: Another one of your favorites?-
Well, I quite liked his appearance in "Wyrd Sisters." :)
