School Done With For The Week

And I am quite glad. Getting up at six A.M. will never not be kind of painful -- and my classmates were starting to get on my nerves today. I'm glad of the help practicing for interviews and suchlike, but sometimes enough is enough.

One nice thing, though, is that I was able to use the bus rides to finish Dragonsong the other day! Good book. Like I've said, McCaffrey is not Pratchett, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Seeing fire lizards in their "natural habitat" was great, I really do like Menolly. She's an interesting character and I'm glad she was invented. I've started Dragonsinger, and I quite look forward to seeing her sevenday (week) in the Harper Hall. :D

On the subject of dragons, my wanted Pepper dragon continues to elude me. I've had to sell off two Poisons from unsuccessful matings. 5,000 dragoncash each, so at least they were good for something. I also got another Flower -- that one I kept, and named Petal. I don't mind having two of the more common hybrids for breeding purposes, but more than that isn't necessary. I also have a new hybrid -- I got a Glacier dragon from breeding Elsa and Dino. :D The game named him Monty, and I giggled and decided to keep it. Currently I have the result of the Doc (Lightning) and Lavawing (Fire) breeding effort incubating. Plan to spend the night clearing away some stones and making plans about what I want to do with my islands. Also another breeding effort, of course, though I haven't decided who yet.
