Much Better Today
Jan. 18th, 2014 10:43 pmProbably because I could actually sit down, breathe, and catch up with stuff. Also I'm past the first day of the red curse, which is always the worst.
Today was very low-key -- it was rainy, and the parents were out of the house most of the day, so I had the place to myself. I caught up with Helloween's latest Suffering LP, played my games, had some spinach pie for lunch (Mom let me have the rest of hers, which was nice), and found some good job opportunities, so yes, nice. I also got the first draft of Chapter 25 of "Forgetting You" done, so hooray for that. And my parents found me a new floor lamp! My old one's been a pain in the ass for ages now, so that's nice. I also have a desk lamp on my desk now to light up my little corner with the computer.
In DragonVale news, would you believe I managed to get ANOTHER Pepper? I was going to sell it, but for a rare dragon, the sale price is stupid-low -- only $12,500! Ashes, which are more common, sell for $500,000! >( So I kept it and named it Capsaicin, after the chemical in hot peppers that makes them hot. I also tried to do a little rearranging with habitats to see if I could rearrange things to prepare for future boosts -- but doing that just filled my Fire habitat on the Elemental Sports island with Plant/Fire hybrids. I'm thinking I'm going have to spread out my boosts a little more. Maybe just have Plant and Lightning on the first Island, Fire and Earth on the second, and go from there.
As for the latest hybrids -- I sold another Lichen, Doc and Borogoves made a Thunder, which is incubating, and Monty and Lavawing appear to making an Obsidian (which will be sold no matter what -- I'm trying for a Frostfire or Blue Fire). Elsa's in the Colosseum for the Cold event, and I'm clearing out a bunch of boulders. Also still trying to figure out how to make my first two islands look decent. Must get ideas!
As it is right now, though, I have tumblr to attend to. Finally back in the RPing saddle, although things are quiet right now. Which suits me fine, as I'd prefer to ease back into things rather than have to run a marathon. Later all!
