Game Updates Day
Aug. 21st, 2014 10:19 pmAs the only other thing of note to really report on is doing some further editing on "In The Land of the Dead." So, without further ado:
-->DragonVale: Still working on Light/Dark hybrids -- which actually has taken on new importance, since they've recently added a new dragon to the Dream epic category, and I need a Mirage if I want to breed it. At least it's not a limited. I also made a start on figuring out the whole "max/min" thing regarding dragon earning rates and habitats. Of the Giant habitats (which I tend to use), Plant and Lightning are the lowest earners, while Dark and Metal are the highest. So you want your low-earning Plant hybrids in the Plant habitats, and your high-earning Metals in the Metal habitat, and so on and so forth. It's probably going to be a bit tricky to pull off, but hopefully it'll maximize my dragoncash reserves.
-->Hearthstone: Two victories for Jaina today. In Play mode, she trounced a Hunter through good use of spells and a use of a secret that lets you duplicate your opponent's next minion -- which in this case happened to be a very good taunt. :) In Naxxramus's Class Challenge, she managed to kill Heigen the Unclean with the Secrets-based deck the game gave her. I once had FOUR secrets all queued up on her. I didn't even know you could layer them that full. Again, took some early damage, but then I got a chance to fill the board with minions, and after that he didn't have a chance. :D Should probably get Garrosh to the point where I can get him out and about, since I've got a Quest for him or Rogue wins.
-->Spellfall: More tough battles in the Ruins of Chronis today, including a pair of particularly nasty double enemies. I've made it past one (by the skin of my teeth) and past a couple of the growing-steadily-tougher enemies behind. The other one remains a little too tricky for my hero to manage at the moment -- though I'll probably try again before hitting the sack. Gotta unlock 'em all if I want to clear the area! Eric's getting towards Level 8 now, and I've unlocked almost all his current Rune slots. Now it's just a matter of figuring out if I should get any of the shiny new equipment. . . Everything's so expensive! At least I get some joy with a free item every day.
-->Sims 4 CAS Demo: It's available, so after making sure my laptop would run it, I downloaded it through Origin and messed around with it. I actually started yesterday, fiddling around with one of the randomized Sims to see what was what. The "click and drag on the Sim" style of fiddling takes a little getting used to, but it's fun to see how you can affect everything. I'd intended to start today with something similar, but then while I was messing around with the starter Sim, I found myself wondering how thin and long I could make the face. . .
Yeah, I made Victor. He's not perfect, but I used the Gallery to look up other Corpse Bride creations (of which there are a surprising number!) and I think mine's better than a couple of the ones I saw on there. Found a semi-decent hair, pretty decent clothes, and his body is very appropriately noodly. He needs a custom pale skin, though, and bigger eyes. If I could just do with him a couple of the things I did in Sims 2 Bodyshop to make my Sims 2 Victor, I think he'd be great.
Well, I'm still fine-tuning, and it's not like I'm not going to have the time -- if I'm getting Sims 4, I'll be asking for it as a Christmas or birthday present. I figure that gives the hackers plenty of time to make homemade patches, and the modders to have had plenty of time to give us cool stuff. Though what I have seen in the preview videos and such, I like. Kind of miss pools, but my Sims never went swimming much -- and I can't say I'll miss toddlers. Hellspawn that get into EVERYTHING.
Anyway, I'll be making Alice in the demo next -- hell, I might make two, a Wonderland-style and a London-style. Also Doc and Marty a la Telltale's variations, since I think those will fit well with the style of The Sims 4. (The backtothefuture tag in the Gallery is EMPTY. Blasphemy!) And I'm thinking of making Eric from Spellfall, just cause. XD
All righty, that was my day -- time to keep an eye on the replies and get to my Colosseum because I forgot again crap (>.<)
