Happy Birthday Doc!
Oct. 22nd, 2016 10:04 pm. . .she says, realizing she never actually put the birthday post up in the Inkwell. ^^; Well, I'll do that real quick after I'm done here; they don't take very long anymore. But yeah, it's been a pretty nice Doc birthday -- I watched Back To The Future Part II, which of course features some great moments of his, and I had a warm brownie with ice cream for my dessert in his honor. I also looked up Christopher Lloyd a little bit ago to figure out just how old the guy is -- 78 today! And with movies still coming up! Including one where he's reprising Doc again -- in a movie about Trump. A very sarcastic parody movie, as you might expect. After some of the deaths of fantastic actors we've had in recent years (I am still not quite over losing Harold Ramis/Egon Spenger, especially with new Ghostbuster awesomeness about; and don't talk to me about Gene Wilder either), it's good to see him still going strong. :D
Had the long driving lesson today -- went pretty well! I'm doing better at parking, and I'm getting a lot more used to just driving around. It was one of the less stressful lessons, even with the fact that it started raining halfway through. Very glad it worked out that way -- I needed some lower-stress time in the car, I think. Too many instructions just makes me tense. I'm going with Mom tomorrow early so we can get back in time for the Pats game (her and Dad)/a big Helloween marathon (me). I did manage to watch Linkara though -- Paranoid ended in a rather interesting way, though they didn't develop it near enough (one of Linkara's big complaints) and it had a go-to-hell twist at the end (literally). The Halloween plot remains interesting, though now we're referencing things I haven't seen because I don't really follow anyone on the site but him. Will have to read up on certain events over in Nostalgic Chick/Lindsay land.
I also finished edits on Chapter 2 of "Remembering You" -- had one last section to go and just did it. :D So that's all set, w00t. Starting on Chapter 3 tomorrow, which is the last of the "easy" ones -- ah well, the free ride couldn't last forever. At least I'm still making progress.
And I got in some time to play Vampire! Harry did Pisha's first quest (after briefly getting lost in the hospital -- hooray for having an iPad that allows me to quickly check on walkthroughs) -- sent Simon to his death so we could get the cool items she hands over for her second quest. I felt bad, even if the guy was a jerk -- I think at one point I'm going to have a vampire who refuses to trade with her because he finds her abhorrent. Maybe even attempt the optional boss fight against her, even though it means less XP. . .hmm. Still, not a worry for Harry. He's riding high, with his new Skyeline apartment and the Grout quest to pick up when I get back into the game. He's a good little Gangrel. :)
All right, time to do that party post, then finish catching up on stuff before heading into RP land (it was a busy day on tumblr, plus I didn't catch up properly last night because I ended up watching outsidexbox videos until 2 in the morning). Night! Remember, the future is what you make of it!
