*face down on bed* Whyyyyyyy
Dec. 2nd, 2016 11:14 pmHey, guess what happened this morning on my bus ride in?
That's right, THE FUCKING DRIVER MISSED A NECESSARY STOP, MEANING WE HAD TO GO BACK.
In this case, the driver didn't take the exit for the train station stop, and, when we passengers started questioning this, said that her directions told her to take exit 6. Now, this is actually correct -- for when you're LEAVING Providence. Exit 6 is the one the driver last night blew past. But it's an entirely different exit when you're going INTO Providence, and -- yeah. We managed to loop back around, and by some miracle (plus the driver turning past the convention center when she was supposed to go straight) I actually made it into work on time, meaning I got to leave early because I had to stay late on Tuesday. Afternoon bus driver actually had brains -- but fell victim to roadwork getting out of the city. Still, I got home a little before five and had plenty of time to work on Chapter 7 of "Remembering You," so that's something. Reworked Alice and Victoria's convo some (gave me some trouble, but I'm actually very proud that I was able to work in some more Wonderland stuff, including the return of an AMA character explicitly said to be dead in A:MR) -- should get into the wholly-new bit tomorrow sometime. Fingers crossed that goes well!
But yeah, couple that nonsense with me having a ton of trouble printing out some special labels because a) I didn't have the right font, then b) I didn't have the right VERSION of the right font, and -- it was a day. This whole week's been kind of a week. . .and tomorrow I get another long test of my driving skill, as Mom and I are going up to Warwick to pick up fabric for my coworker present this year (we're doing little Christmas aprons for everybody -- Mom actually finished three already, but needs a bit more fabric to complete the other two). Which probably means driving on 95. Fun. *said in MASSIVE sarcasm quotes* Well, so long as I get us up there and back in one pieces, we'll all be happy.
Anyway -- I just did Butterfly Boy's queue, so that's good. Going to catch up with the rest of my tumblr stuff now. Have to figure out a good plan for my videos this weekend -- Helloween has been busy with the Dark Souls 3 DLC and is starting a replay of the original Dead Space (another one I didn't see the first go-round of -- I seem to have subscribed to him just in time to get all the shitty sequels to stuff), plus I want to continue my watch of Silent Hill 3. . .hmmm. Well, I'll figure it out -- and I do have an extra day off next week (Thursday, Immaculate Conception), so things can spill over into that as necessary. Though what I'm really living for are the long weekends for Christmas and New Year's. . .
But that's in the future. I've got this weekend to work with right now. Time to attempt something resembling productivity -- night all!
