Quiet Monday? Ha!
Aug. 6th, 2018 11:29 pmI thought I would have less to do today. . .but between my director needing me to fax something to the auditors that didn't go through before he left on vacation, the fiscal people finally coming to grips with that one parish that does its own thing credit-card-wise with the capital campaign and thus shoving the actual pledge payments back to me, and our processing company bugging me for various stuff, I had a pretty full day. *sigh* At least I got the time-sensitive stuff all done, which is the important thing. And I'm going to try and dedicate a large chunk of time tomorrow to doing that one parish's remittances, which should help catch us up some more. We'll see if I can stick to that plan. . .three and a half days to go!
Afternoon's been better -- except for the ride home. The air conditioning in Dad's truck has quit, and it was HOOOOOT. 90-something that felt like 100. D: Fortunate it's a quick commute! And tomorrow, which is supposed to be more of the same, I have the car with the working air conditioning. Whew. But yeah, once we got home and into the cool, things were all right. Had a good workout, had a nice supper, and got another page or so of edits done on "Fixing You" Chapter 3 -- the gang figuring out why Victor's magical aura is weird. Slowly but surely making progress! Not fast enough to get anything up this week, but next week should be a go. (Even with all the day trips we're planning on taking.)
And I got done with the writing portion of my day early enough to watch THREE episodes of Super Sim Challenge! Yeah, Helloween didn't post anything tonight, so I indulged my desire to watch more Max Power. He's doing well -- Geekcon finally came around, so James was able to complete the "City Native" aspiration, and "Vampire Family" was completed the moment he finished training three of Max's offspring (as he'd already done everything required for the last level). And Kareem is well on his way to aging up into a productive member of society, with the required three positive character value traits (Responsible, Good Manners, and -- er, whatever the good Empathy trait is called ^^;), meaning "Super Parent" is within Max's grasp. Only 9 more episodes to go! Well, until he starts updating it again (I think he's been too busy with his "Rags to Riches Seasons" LP lately -- huge gaps between episodes aren't unheard of here), but at least I'm a LOT closer to being caught up and watching new episodes "live." I also went ahead and made a recommendation post over on my tumblr for his channel for my Wednesday post (along with an explanation as to why I'm not posting anything from Newcrest Adventures) -- hey, he is easily my favorite Simmer. Might as well, right? Especially since I've also plugged Helloween4545 over there.
And now that I've caught up on my other websites and done that bit of queuing, I should finish off my inbox and head to bed. Like I said, three and a half more days. . . Night all!
