Yeah, kept running into "oh cripes I have to do that, no wait I have to do that" situations all day while trying to get all my work done. Didn't help that my project of the day was running around tracking down pledge cards and suchlike for the auditors when they arrive at the beginning of September. . . I suppose I should be grateful the day went by. This is turning out to be a pretty fast-moving week. Though we'll see what happens when we go in tomorrow -- nobody's sure what the deal's going to be now that we can't do anything more with our current database program. I've got a couple of things I can do that don't involve me actually changing anything on it, but after that. . . At least it's only a day and a half more to go.
Afternoon was a little more accomplished -- I got the next part of "The Technicolor Phase" up, Wilson Brown. And I posted the next chapter of "Fixing You" -- Chapter 4 on FF.net, and Chapter 4 on AO3. As a reminder, Chapter 4 is the one with the creepy sex nightmare, so read with caution. Sorry, but it WAS the most effective way to show what's going on in Victor's head. Next chapter is better -- sort of; it does involve an angry mob, after all.
Also got a chance to watch Helloween's latest RE4 set -- as usual, quick time events are his worst enemies. Especially the button-mashers -- poor guy had to do an entire minecart-ride section again because he failed to tap fast enough to have Leon climb up a ledge at the last minute. And then he got his head torn off while climbing a tower after one of the bad guys -- fortunately, that one checkpointed him a lot more generously. He earned his cool factor back by wasting the next boss with a rocket launcher. XD Finally leaving the castle and making his way to an island for his next trick. We'll see how much ass he has to kick there.
Rest of the evening's been mainly getting my tumblr queue up to snuff (up to the first half of Saturday! Nice to be ahead) and catching up on webcomics and the like. Gonna finish taking care of the stuff in my inbox now and hit the sheets. We'll see what tomorrow brings -- night all!
