Fairly Quiet Thursday
Aug. 23rd, 2018 11:31 pmThough I managed to keep busy enough at work most of the day -- finished up finding all the paperwork for the auditors, sent out some letters, pulled a few lists for people (the old database still works, and we can extract information -- we just can't change anything), and started editing that giant file of potential duplicates and such the processing company sent me right before my vacation. Hey, I AM going to need it to weed out dupes in the next files I send them. Day started to drag a bit in the afternoon, but what can you do? I'll see what I can do to keep myself busy tomorrow too -- at least that's only a half-day. And supposed to be lovely too -- we've got like perfect weather to end off this week. :) Enjoying it as much as I can, since the heat comes back next Monday. . .
Afternoon's been pretty standard. Got another good chunk on Chapter 5 of "Fixing You" done -- and, since I plan on splitting it in two (since there seems to be a natural break in there, and it keeps the chapter getting too long), I should be able to finish it up tomorrow! Which is good for my update schedule, at least. :) I also watched a bunch of Sims 4-related stuff in my Watch Later queue:
-->A "Subscribers Choose My Build" video by Deligracy, where she built a house based on votes on various pictures from her Instagram followers (for example, she had two kitchen pictures, and the one that got the most votes was the one she had to try her best to recreate). Came out quite nicely, in my opinion.
-->A "Playing Sims 4 Outside" video by The Sim Supply, which was secretly a sponsored video for his new laptop by Razer. However, James likes to take the piss out of such things a little, and gave us a nice tour of Sydney and a rather hilarious bit of Sims playing while he was praising his new hardware. XD
-->A "thank you" video from The Sim Supply, in honor of the fact that he's reached a million subscribers! O.O And he's actually coming up on his TENTH anniversary on the channel too. That's a hell of a thing, isn't it? Good for you, James -- you've certainly charmed your way into being one of my favorite YouTubers. :)
-->And a "Wizard Tower" build video from The Sim Supply, based on a suggestion from a friend of his. Looks cool, but James spent a lot of the video saying how tough it was to do because -- well, the only magic-related stuff we currently have in Sims 4 is all about vampires and their powers. I too await the return of witches and wizards, James!
So that was fun. Got my queue done on Valice Multiverse after that, and now it's time to empty out the inbox and go to bed! Just a few more hours tomorrow. . .hopefully they won't drag on too much. *fingers crossed* Night all!
