GL Is Now Mostly Somebody Else's Problem
Sep. 7th, 2018 11:23 pmWe dumped off all the ones we had at the Fiscal office because -- well, at this point we needed to get them down there, and we'd gotten some of it to add up. The summary stuff was still off, but it looked like it was off in a way that would eventually even out? I don't know -- Fiscal's going to get back to us Monday morning, and we'll go from there. *sigh* I'm really hoping they have good news. . . Rest of the day was spent largely helping my coworkers handle some stuff (like trying to put on pledges and the like). It's tough, getting used to this new system. I'm hoping eventually it'll get easier, but in this awkward transition phase. . .well, it's just annoying, is what it is. At least I think I've tracked down the best way to keep ourselves abreast of things for the GL. . .
Also, it rained today! When the weather only called for cloudy! I tried taking a walk at lunch, but it started sprinkling about midway around the block and I had to cut it short. Fortunately it was light and I took my umbrella with me, so I didn't get wet at all. . .still, that was annoying. I hope tomorrow's supposed to be a little better. We're having a few much cooler days, and I'd like to get outside for a walk for at least one of them.
Afternoon's been pretty okay, for the most part. As is usual when I finish a "Fixing You" chapter on a Thursday, I took the Friday off to work on another project -- in this case, editing more of the Holistic Assassin!Alice AU snippet I've got in the wings. I'd like to get it up eventually, after all. And it's nice to occasionally take a longer break from the Forgotten Vows Verse -- I love it, but it has kind of eaten my life, and I do love other AUs. :p After that was videos, which consisted of:
-->A "Fun With Shorts" featuring a poorly-puppeted version of "Rumpelstiltskin" framed as a lesson about not losing your temper; as you might imagine, it was on the receiving end of some savage riffs
-->Another episode of The Sim Supply's and Dr. Gluon's "Rags to Riches: Crazy Cat Lady Bread Shop" collab -- the shop is open for business! They've named it "Olde Safari Bake Shop," and only the most hipster of Sims come to visit. XD Oh, and also stray cats. Which have been liberally standing in and eating the breadstick batter. XD Someone DID buy a plate for $12, though, sooooo. . . Episode ended on James getting up from his chair on the facecam to do something -- I'm looking forward to the next episode just to see what he has in mind
-->Another episode of Call Me Kevin's Sims 4 LP -- we're slowly but surely moving into the Jim Pickens era, with Kevin visiting his house today instead of Urp's and basically showing off what a horror show it is XD Also, Jim romanced Cassandra Goth's ghost. That's a new one.
And now I'm just catching up on websites, getting my ValiceMultiverse queue settled (VictorLuvsAlice is already done, yay), and answering some messages. Which I ought to get back to sooner rather than later, so. . .
Oh, and -- happy September 7th, fellow Backies! Yeah, I MEANT to make a 10:04 post, but then I got distracted, and. . . I really have to at least rewatch the movies at some point. They're still some of my favorites. Just need more time in the day. . . *sigh* Ah well. Night all!
