Keep Feeling Like It's Sunday
Nov. 2nd, 2019 11:30 pmI'm not used to having FRIDAYS off. O.o It's throwing off my groove a bit. Not in a particularly BAD way -- I still like having the three days -- but it is weird. At least I keep getting to remind myself that I still have a day off tomorrow! XD
Anyway, today was really mostly just hanging around the house and not doing much of anything -- my parents were out most of the day antiquing, which left me alone to chill. Which is nice when you're still in the middle of your period and thus easily annoyed. XD Once again, watched a bunch of YouTube videos:
-->Jay checking out the latest Yandere Simulator update, which was basically sort of for him -- he complained previously that the DDR-type machine in the gaming club wasn't usable, and now it is! YanDev got the help of another developer to make a mini-game for it! So Jay spent a lot of time trying to get good ranks on the songs. Which was -- harder than it looked, let's say. XD We also saw that the Manga Store now has a unique shopkeeper, and now has age-restricted items, meaning there's a need for a fake ID in the game. Small update, but satisfying in its own way. Especially with Jay getting his wiggly legs on. XD
-->A Call Me Kevin marathon:
A) Outer Worlds, a space-themed RPG which allows Kevin to be an absolutely HUMONGOUS dick, which he loves. Seriously, most RPGs try to keep your evil persona to "largely sarcastic" -- this one, you can straight up tell people you weren't listening to a thing they said. XD And he's put almost all of his points into being charming, so people listen to and like him no matter how cruel he is. Even when he's depowering a whole town! XD It's great.
B) The Wild Eight, a cooperative cartoony survival sim -- Kevin played with a friend, and the first thing he and his friend did was beat each other to death. And then harvest their old corpses for meat. XD Things did not progress much uphill from there, I have to say -- though they did successfully kill a werewolf! And a couple of polar bears! It's a bit of a weird game. XD
C) Basement, a game about -- well, you know how in Fallout Shelter you design and build your own Vault? Think that sort of gameplay, only you're in your basement and what you're building is a drug operation with the goal of becoming the top dealer. Also you can raid and take over other buildings around you, and try to defend yourself against rival gangs. Perfect game for Kevin! XD He tried both the story and the sandbox modes -- ended up dying in story mode thanks to a raid gone wrong, but thrived for a good while in sandbox until a police raid shut him down. Poor guy, he was having a lot of fun too. XD
D) Minecraft -- yup, more adventures! Kevin shored up his flooding underwater temple offscreen (by destroying an island to get sand for glass XD) and went on the hunt for treasure! And ended up finding the home of the pillagers whose tower he burned down, and, well, burning it down. XD While he was inside, mind. Kevin does not always think through the consequences of his actions. XD He managed to loot the place and escape, though. His next goal -- a chicken farm! If it turns out anything like his cow pen. . .well, those poor chickens. XD
-->And a look at the new Hazbin Hotel cartoon, which is -- very, very adult, let's say. XD Not in the sense of onscreen nudity or anything, but -- yeah, jokes NOT AT ALL APPROPRIATE for kids. It's an interesting show, though -- the daughter of Lucifer himself getting into the idea of trying to rehabilitate souls and demons instead of just destroying them when Hell gets too full, and making a hotel to do that. Most demons think she's out of her mind, but one particularly creepy and powerful one seems to have taken an interest -- mostly because he's bored and thinks it would be a good laugh. :p But Charlie needs all the help she can get, sooo. . . We'll see where it goes from here, I guess!
And in non-Youtube things:
-->Played some Bloodlines -- I decided that I was going to have Alice wrap up the Southland Slasher stuff to finish off another night. Had to do the ending over a couple of times, though -- first, because Alice got stuck trying to chase the Slasher in his junkyard haven (because jank game is jank); then second, because I couldn't get the ending to the quest I wanted without spending some experience on Alice's Charisma stat (turns out you need a Persuasion of 7 to get the guy to give up killing and spare him). But yeah, that's all taken care of. I also decided to start Venus's quests, so I hit her club and got Hot Stripper Assassin Action! to take out the hunter Chastity. Again, took a reload (mainly because I died the first time I tried to kill her), but I sledgehammered and sucked my way to victory, yay~ Have decided that my next stop is to visit Romero and see about his zombie quest -- apparently there is an easy way to cheese the hell out of it? It would be nice to be able to do BOTH his quests and gain back some of the XP I'll be missing out on for the deliberate fails. We'll see. . .
-->Wrote up my notes for "Londerland Bloodlines" -- taking care of the Slasher happened pretty much like it did in the game (with Alice sympathizing strongly with him, given her own history), but I decided Victor got in on the action with Chastity, being the one to lure her out while Alice talked with Flynn about the main quest. And lure her out he did -- mostly because Chastity thought HE was a vampire and got him alone to try and kill him. Unlucky for her the REAL vampire snuck in behind her and took great offense to her trying to kill Victor. Alice might in fact Vision of Death her in-story! (Which -- makes me want to try it out in-game, honestly. . .how did I forget I HAD that ability?!) Poor Victor is going to be quite shook, poor guy. And Alice needing to quietly get rid of Chastity's corpse is the reason I'm moving onto Romero next -- she's gonna sneak it to the cemetery, only to run afoul of a zombie and get saved by Romero. Might as well see him in action instead of just waiting around in his cabin, right?
-->Got up the latest Scene from Secundus: Two A.M. Monsters, about little Victor dealing with his fear of monsters in the dark. It's a tiny bit heartwrenching, not gonna lie. Poor little thing, he needs all the hugs. :(
And now I need to catch up on queues and comments and stuff -- answered some messages, but far from all. And have to adjust my clock too -- end of Daylight Savings! Time to fall back and gain an hour. Which, sort of yay, but as this pushes up sunset to closer to 4, mostly boo. *sigh* How can someone who loves vampires so much not like short days. . .
Anyway. Stuff to do, burning moonlight. Tomorrow is a Sims day -- and my intention is to get back to "Secundus 2" as well. Been a month, coming up on some BTTF time, seems appropriate. Gonna do an alternating schedule if all goes according to plan. . .we'll see! Night all!
