crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
As in, I had to spend a lot of time on the phone at work calling people about things (and occasionally getting tongue-tied when leaving messages), and I was again asked to help out with lots of little problems eating away at my time. . .but one of of the people in the back helping us out with everything had a birthday today, so there was Gregg's Golden Layer Cake with chocolate frosting, which does help make up for a lot. :p I just wish it hadn't been followed up with a trip through the city -- although, despite having to maneuver around another stuck car and having a cop surprise me going through an intersection (not pulling me over, he was trying to get through the other way), I actually got home faster than I usually do when I have to take the long way around. Maybe because traffic wasn't too bad and it wasn't raining today. . . I'll take what I can get.

Anyway, got home in one piece, and managed to have a decent evening:

-->Got in an exercise video, yay~ Just one of the short ones, but I want to try and keep up with doing something every weekday

-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- Victor has come off his rage-high, and fortunately the awkward has now been defused by Linda asking if he can use his scary Touched voice on her brother to stop him doing annoying stuff. XD It's going to come back, unfortunately, but at least Victor can now be sure he hasn't completely alienated the entire McFly family. Now he just has to deal with everyone else in the saloon being wary of him -- especially the three old-timers nearby.

-->Call Me Kevin marathon time! :D

A) More of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II -- or, to give it its proper name, Call of Potter: Hogwarts Warfare. Kevin was rather unimpressed with all the cover-shooting sections -- especially since his friends refused to stop idling on him. Come on, Ron, Hermione, we need a little help here! XD Love-hate relationship in full swing! I will be sorry to see this game go -- you get some prime Kevin commentary out of it.

B) Disco Elysium, which is -- an incredibly weird game about being a VERY drunk detective, from what I could understand of it. O.o Kevin tried being the world's strongest drunk detective, which ended when his guy quit the force due to depression over his lost gun; and then the smartest drunk detective, which ended when he died from a heart attack after trying and failing to punch a child. Basically it seems that, while there are prime opportunities to be a jerk in this game, there are also many, many more to screw up and get an interesting game over. Essentially, while it was amusing watching Kevin play it, I feel this is more of a Gray game. . .

C) Michigan: Report From Hell, an awful PS2 game with awful graphics and awful controls. Naturally we all love it. XD The conceit is, you're a new cameraman on a news team, there is heavy fog and Resident Evil-style monsters hanging about, and you can only interact with the world by pointing your camera at it. Also you can let coworkers die in terrible ways, like being schlorped by the biohazards or bitten by evil spiders. Kevin spent most of his time running into his annoying coworkers and being pissed off by the controls. Naturally I think we're gonna make him play more. XD

D) Another run through Bitlife, with Kevin's longest-lived character, Light Bulb! He made it to 98 after burning through a ton of girlfriends, fathering a number of children whom he put up for adoption or simply abandoned, adopting a number of pets to release into the wild. . .oh yeah, he also killed his wife once and then spent most of his time escaping from prison. XD A very successful run through the app, is what I'm saying. XD Oh, and he was a millionaire for a short time due to inheritance, so go Bulb!

E) A special three-for-one deal, as Kevin decided to edit together some shorter video clips that he originally scrapped as full episodes, but then figured "maybe there's something worth saving here" and threw them out to us, the viewing public. I can understand why he didn't release the video of the first, a cute and chaotic moving game -- it's still in beta, so there's only four maps, meaning the original look was too short. And I can see the logic behind not releasing the caveman-based battle simulator -- while Kevin's commentary was funny, the game was horribly laggy, and there wasn't really a lot interesting happening. But a buddy-cop game with RTGame, where they kept accidentally (and "accidentally") shooting each other? Kevin, buddy, you gotta know we'd watch that. XD Maybe in the future.

-->Finished up my Victor Luvs Alice queue (Saturday and first half of Sunday done), and got my Valice Multiverse one done as well (also worked some on a "get to know the muse" meme I was tagged in -- taking me longer than usual because, well, I have to do it for BOTH of my main characters)

And now it's time to answer the last of the comments in my inbox and see about getting to sleep on time. One more day to get through. . .ugh, this is the main problem with January and February. After the last couple of months of the year have so many days off, going back to a "five days a week is the norm" schedule is painful. Especially since it's still winter. *grumbles* At least we're supposed to have some warmth this weekend! . . .along with wind and at least some rain, but. . . *sigh*

Anyway. Time to wrap things up. Night!
