crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)
Going to bed earlier didn't REALLY work out last night -- yeah, I was in bed by midnight, but my brain happily took the opportunity to start freaking out about every last little twitch and twinge, so I don't think I actually got any more SLEEP than I usually do. *heavy sigh* I am going to try and get off the computer a little earlier on work days, just because I really should, but -- ugh. It's just so frustrating to spend so much of your life scared. I'm near-constantly worried about getting sick, or having something in my brain break, or both at once, and it's -- it's taking a toll. It's weird, but I kind of want to go back to how things were in April. I had a halfway-decent sleep schedule, I wasn't THAT terrified of everything because we were in lockdown and thus I was just home all the time, and work stress was confined to a single day a week. Just -- can I have that, only with a vaccine or a cure or SOMETHING on the way so the world can stop being such a horrific mess?

ANYWAY -- sum-up of the day:

-->Work was stressful, as always -- bunch of write-offs, trying to juggle demands from Fiscal and my supervisor, keep up with phone calls, and all that fun stuff. It always seems like so much lands on my shoulders for no good reason. . .at least tomorrow I only need suffer for five hours! Those extra three hours in the afternoon will be much appreciated.

-->After work, we played the beanbag game again! Yeah, it was kind of hot and sticky, but it wasn't raining for once, so yeah, back to the grind. Dad ended up winning all three games, but I took second twice. And all three were pretty close. Good to know we're not that far out of practice. Hopefully Dad can get the horseshoe pit made soon so we can play that as well over the weekend.

-->Did some more editing on Chapter 9 of "Secundus 2" -- I'm just glad that I can actually keep up with these creative endeavors despite The Anxiety (tm)! Though I guess it helps in this case that I'm just editing stuff I've already written. . .at any rate, everyone's admitted they don't have a better plan than Strickland's so they're gonna run with his. Aaalmost done. . .

-->On YouTube, time for more Call Me Kevin! Tonight:

1. BH Trials, a physics-based game about taking a digger through various obstacle courses – except there's no engine, and you have to move via judicious use of the bucket and the bulldozer-part. Kevin was – well. Kevin got very very frustrated. XD Poor guy, every time there was even a slight incline he was ending up on his roof. It was fascinating to watch, frankly. Don't worry, Kevo – I can't see myself being any better at the game!

2. Just Die Already: Old People Mayhem Sandbox – yes, that is the title. And what is it about? Well, it's about controlling this chaotic old man and causing as much havoc as possible while various things try to kill you! But it takes a lot to kill you – as in, you can be entirely armless, legless, and headless and still manage to go on! I think they need to snap your spine to force a respawn. . .at any rate, there are lots of challenges for doing stuff like getting electrocuted, eating so much you explode, losing all your limbs. . . Kevin excelled without even trying! Basically the complete opposite of the previous game. :P

3. Thimbleweed Park, a game in the style of the old-school adventure games where you had to "look at jokebook" or "talk to Willie" (or "pull Willie," as Kevin attempted XD). It's even got nice pixelated graphics! The story seems to be about a pair of federal agents investigating a murder in the titular town, but the real fun stuff comes when you start talking to people and playing in flashbacks. Particularly when you end up playing an incredibly rude and terrible clown who ends up cursed to never be able to take off his makeup and to roam the circus grounds forever. . . .look, you had to be there. XD I do hope for more, I like offbeat games like this. They're a lot of fun, and Kevin always makes them even more amusing with his commentary. XD

-->Got my Victor Luvs Alice and Valice Multiverse queues sorted for the foreseeable future, so that's nice at least. Would be nice if tumblr's queue thing showed the CORRECT number of posts for Victor Luvs Alice, but the dashboard is a definite trash fire now, soooo. . .

And that's about it, really. Time to answer the last comments before hitting the sheets. And hoping there aren't any more bugs in my room -- had to kill a few over the course of the evening. *shudders* As if I didn't have enough to worry about at night. . .just focus on trying to get some sleep, Vic. And getting through the half-day tomorrow. After that I think I'll do some Fallout 4, as well as catching up some more with the stuff in my Watch Later. *nods* Night all!
