Well, Not So Much Stress Today
Aug. 5th, 2020 11:03 pmThough I still have the anger from what feels like -- *deep sigh* You know, I don't even want to get into it. Every time I talk about work lately, it just makes me mad. Suffice to say my coworkers are still annoying me, especially when it comes to masking, and part of me wants to say something, but I have to figure out how to do it without swearing. Ugh. At least I finally got one of those letters that I needed to get out in the mail. . .and TRIED to get some other things sorted, but. . . *shake head* Getting back into the bad vibes thing.
ANYWAY, much more pleasant ride home today, and afternoon hasn't been too bad:
-->We now own an exercise bike! I did a little over twenty minutes on it with the cooldown -- tried to keep it simple and easy, with some light resistance and whatnot. Left me kinda wobbly-legged afterward, and I STILL have some soreness from the seat, but hey -- workout. Doing good on that front still.
-->Did some more writing on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- found the dialogue I needed for Lily to tell everyone about her place up in Oregon, had Alice get her cryptic clue from Rosa, and say a friendly goodbye to the group. Now it's off to check in with Mercurio and get started with Carson's nonsense! Yes, Alice's night is far from over. . .and she still has to do Slashterpiece too, don't forget! Man, I crammed a LOT into this night. . .then again, it feels that way with EVERY chapter in this fic, seriously. Why did I think novelizing an RPG was a good idea. . .
-->Did the usual "four on a weekday" YouTube video thing:
A) Time for a quick Call Me Kevin marathon, as I've been falling behind! Up on the docket:
1. More Tomodachi Life, yay! :D He's even calling it a "cinematic universe" now since it features so many of his favorite characters from other games. XD Speaking of which, Urp John, his very first Sim (before Jim Pickens came along and took over that series), has joined the island! We didn't see much of him, though, as Kevin was busy going around feeding all the islanders, opening up a photo booth (he made a pretty kick-ass poster with most of the mains) and a quiz show (Jim was – a little too eager to admit to trying to kill islanders), trying to get default and Turg together (the shippers will not be denied!), and giving Lil Kev and RT Game ridiculous hats (a broccoli and a soft-serve ice cream hat in brown, respectively). XD Oh, and yes, there were songs, of course – Lil Kev got a heavy metal song about his dirty cage, while Turg and default sung a duet about their love! . . .Well, it's love on Turg's side, default is, as always, neutral. XD
2. Pokemon Outlaw! It appears to be a fanhack of "Fire Red/Leaf Green," according to the YouTubes. In THIS version of the games, you play as a homeless kid (CUDDLES, in Kevin's game), and your Pokemon battles are generally preceded by some version of "die, loser!" So, yes, it is basically "Pokemon, but EDGY!" . . .and yet, it's still better than PETA's version. XD Poor Kevin, his character and his Pokemon got their butts handed to them so many times by the police, by random people whose houses they broke into, by random cannibals on the street. . . Cuddles just wanted to leave the slums, not be harassed by Shrek and his bug assassins!
3. More Ooblets! And the last one in his sponsored series, sadly. Ah well, we all knew it couldn't last forever. . .but Big Man had a big couple of days! He dance-battled his way to opening up a Oobnet tower; bought himself a new, fancier bed (and promptly overslept in it); earned some money having his Ooblets scanned and helping the scientist lady finish her robot; and got himself a new mustache to go with his fanny pack and lack of outerwear. XD It was all very sweet and fun, in that unique Kevin way. I kind of hope he comes back to the game at a later date – I'm fond of it by now! And fond of Big Man – ooh, maybe we can convince him to bring the guy into Tomodachi Life. . .
B) And then a swing by Plumbella's, as she FINALLY beats the ten-minute build challenge! Mostly via the use of a house plan in MS Paint so she had an idea of the shell she wanted to build before she actually hopped into the game. The house ended up – interesting (tiny living room that loves Christmas, giant kitchen with a big blue rug, the "loveless marriage" master bedroom as the only room in the house with curtains, a nice bathroom made in fear of LilSimsie), but hey, she completed it in within the time limit, and that's what matters! w000! :D
-->And then I've spent the rest of my time either catching up on webcomics, reading through tumblr tags, or reading some of my old comfort fanfic, because God knows I need plenty of that these days. Been nice to have a pretty quiet night, honestly. . .but now it's time to wrap up and head to bed. Two -- well, one and a half more days to get through, then another three day weekend. Ugh, am I going to NEED it. . .wish me luck tomorrow, folks. Night all!
