crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
Despite getting up a bit later than planned (well, sort of -- as usual on weekends, I woke up a bit early to use the bathroom, then went back to bed for a little over an hour), got through all the things on my to-do list:

1. Continue editing Chapter 4 of “Londerland Bloodlines: Santa Monica’s Vale Of Tears”: Check – did this before lunch, yay! Alice has gotten her second job from Arthur – track down the location of one Mike “Muddy” Durbin, or at least his girlfriend. Who just so happens to live in the same apartment block as Alice – what are the odds? :p Before she can do that, though, she has another task to complete – the hour is getting early, and those paintings at the Gallery Noir aren’t going to slash themselves! Poor Alice, I’m putting her through so much tonight. . .

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs, watch Chess-Anna's Sims 4 video with boyfriend Call Me Kevin: Check – plus a bonus OXBox video that dropped today! :) Well, that and me watching a bunch of little Smiler videos this morning, but that’s mostly just “clips of the various screens used in the ride,” “a look at the Augmented Reality stuff from the game they released when the coaster first opened (one of which features a car bursting through the sign which is REALLY awkward these days),” “fan animations and music relating to the ride,” and “some videos of Dr. Kelman and HIS ‘marmalisation process’ from the Sanctuary Scaremaze attraction they did in 2013 and 2014, featuring all sorts of creepy stuff that helps explain why the Ministry of Joy ended up giving his job to a roller coaster.” So yeah. You’re here to learn about the non-Alton-Towers-related videos –

A) Started after Unpacking with AnnaChess (THAT’S her correct username) playing Sims 4 with her boyfriend Call Me Kevin! Apparently the multiplayer mod is still working, and thus they were able to create the roommates of Alberta Einstein (Anna) and Party Animal (Kevin) in the big city of San MyShuno. As you might imagine, things got chaotic very quickly – they played games to determine who got the better bedroom (chess, and then when neither of them were able to see which character won, Don’t Wake The Llama – in that case, Anna lost), and then Kevin quietly began adopting toddlers and cats behind Anna’s back and forcing Anna’s character to take care of them. XD Which was – a bit of a thing, given she has a lot less experience in this game. And then Party Animal started wooing Nancy Landgraab behind Alberta’s back (or occasionally in front of her face), which Anna was annoyed about – until Kevin took them to the Landgraab mansion, and then she was like “you seduce the wife, I’ll seduce the husband.” XD Unfortunately, neither of them were skilled in the ways of Sim romance, and even a one-day vacation to Mt. Komorebi wasn’t able to save things – hell, it just made things WORSE, honestly. (Partly because Kevin sneakily made Anna’s character yell at and insult Geoffrey Landgraab instead of flirt.) So instead Kevin decided to just have Party Animal move out and then disconnect – though, hilariously, the freed Party just walked right back into the apartment as a guest. And so things ended with the two adults entertaining the two VERY stinky toddlers out on the balcony in the middle of a rainstorm. . . XD Frankly, I’m just surprised the Landgraabs SURVIVED the episode, given what Kevin usually does to those who reject his Sims’ affections. XD Possible sequel material there?

B) Then it was over to OXBox to watch one of Andy’s fighting game list videos – “7 Creepiest Fighting Game Characters That Belong in a Horror Game!” Yeah, there’s some scary folks on the fighting game rosters these days – from the painfully-possessed Zappa of the Guilty Gear series (who lurches through fights bent over backwards while ghostly faces pop out of his back and arms and whatnot), to Voldo of the Soulcaliber franchise (an undead man with creepy blade-hands and a spiked blindfold), to Relius Clover of the Blazblue games (looks normal, if overly-fancily-dressed, but is in fact a mad scientist who likes to torture people – and will happily string up his opponents to experiment on in his big finisher). Anyone need a new horror game protagonist? I’m sure any of this group would be happy to help.

C) Then, after supper, it was time to hit the Subs for Call Me Kevin and more BitLife – this time as a businessman! A South African man named Busi Ness, in fact. XD (And apparently “Busi” is a genuine name in that country, so cool.) After surviving attacks from his sister, Angel, in childhood and selling the used BMW his parents got him for passing his driving test, Busi emigrated to the United States and got his parents to pay for his degree in Marketing there! He then spent eleven years as a Lobbyist, stressed to hell, addicted to alcohol and Valium, dealing with a botched penis enlargement surgery (on the plus side, he won his lawsuit against the doctor), losing all his friends, and assassinating his boss when he laughed in his face regarding a promotion. Then they let him go because he was suffering from depression, though he was only actually diagnosed once he was fired. Kevin immediately made a turn into going into political office, successfully running for the school board, then for Mayor of Compton! He received a few death threats while in office, but nothing major. Unfortunately, cancer of the kidney took him out at age 41. Kevin promptly rewound time five years to give him a better life and began speedrunning all his favorite activities – getting more plastic surgery; finding love with a random woman, then marrying her and having a daughter (LoL Goodluckonyourown); having his enemy Woody murdered by a hitman with a crucifix; buying a houseboat, having a loud party on it, and NARROWLY avoiding going to jail for drug possession; blowing all his money on a casino, then getting arrested for leaving in debt and defrauding the place; escaping from jail; selling his wife’s house from under her; and losing all their money AGAIN at a casino. Hilariously, this got him an extra year, as he died from “natural causes” at 42. It’s the small victories. XD

D) Then it was over to GrayStillPlays and another GTA V parkour board – this one featuring Florida Man taking on the deadliest waterslides to stretch from the Moon to the Earth! Only with less water and more PAIN. Basically the course was roughly a series of tubes reaching up from high in the sky to the city below, and was divided into The Initial Yeeting (Gray having to survive a fall down the first slide as his character without missing the checkpoint platform); The Big Jump (Gray got a car, but that car had to navigate down a VERY steep tube with the occasional cut-out, then make a ginormous jump to the next platform); The Under Construction (another tube with lots more cut-outs, water jets with pressure enough to flip the car or even eject Florida Man entirely if Gray drove over them, spinning radar dishes, and of course windmills, which ended in a mid-air teleport); and The Fun Jumps (a series of jumps through three-quarters-tubes that took Gray QUITE a while to learn the pattern – you had to just GO and land every one right EVERY TIME). Satan has learned some new tricks, and Gray was not happy about it. And he didn’t even get his promised plushy for completing the board. XD

3. Play the final level of Unpacking: Check – and I’m glad I budgeted some time for it, because it took me about two hours! The final level is a two-story house, and there’s a LOT of stuff to organize between the upper and lower levels, so – yeah. Getting the kitchen sorted was especially a project. . .but I got it all done, and got the heartwarming ending. :)

Spoiler )

4. Work on tumblr queues: Check – made sure to get the text all sorted for the Wednesday Winterfest Chill Save update this week after lunch, before hopping into my gaming! Nice to have that all sorted, at least. . . And I just stuck in my idea for this week's Song Saturday in the drafts (a reblog of an old "Almost Alice" album song, "Extreme" -- been having periodic nostalgia for that stuff).

5. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike, but with some different videos for a little bit. Namely, after finishing Unpacking myself, I wanted to watch Jon from Many A True Nerd play through it, as it was his second video (on the fully-released game) that inspired me to pick it up for myself. So that’s what we’re watching for the next week or so! :) Started today with his original video, which was his look at the demo, and thus the first two levels of the game (1997 new big girl’s room; 2004 settling into university dorm). Past!Jon has been rambling about how much he hated Tamagotchis and Rubik’s Cubes, how the original Game Boys didn’t have proper backlighting, and how he went to uni in 2004 himself but he did not get such nice digs as the Protagonist (who has her own private bathroom and kitchenette) while carefully decorating the rooms, and it’s been pretty fun and chill. :) Looking forward to completing this one tomorrow, getting through the one I already watched again, then finishing up with his stream video where he did the last few levels of the game. :) Don't worry, Oxventure, I'll be back to see the release of your music video once I'm done with this!

Not a bad way to end a three-day weekend. :) Better than listening to the wind howling out there, anyway. o.O At least the prophesied storm we were supposed to get wasn't too bad -- some snow that was then all washed away by rain, followed by partly-cloudy weather. But apparently there's ANOTHER potential snow event for the end of the week -- we'll see how THAT shakes out. For now, I definitely have to head to bed -- night all!
