Shitty Tuesday

Work – UGH. I swear, it only takes one day at my desk to wipe away any benefit I got from a three-day weekend, and today made that ESPECIALLY clear. Credit card calls and people trying to get my attention out the wazoo, AND I’m dealing with the same stupid credit card bullshit that I was before that was supposed to be FIXED BY NOW! I’m just so freaking DONE with having shit not show up in the right place over there! *heavy sigh* Hate it. Half-hoping the snow we’re supposed to get Thursday gets worse so I can drop this week to three days already.
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, and some more time with Jon’s Unpacking videos! Finished up his look at the demo, where he was unable to distinguish a pajama top and hung it up on a hanger while pairing its bottoms with a random t-shirt and put all his pots and pans on the highest shelf of the kitchenette in the “2004 University” level, then moved on to the video I actually watched earlier (“Crate Expectations,” as Jon never met a pun he didn’t like) which featured the full game and the next couple of levels. Currently rewatching him unpack our Protagonist into her space in the house she’s sharing with her friends – after that is the “squeezing into the boyfriend’s apartment” level, and then we get into the stream and back to stuff I haven’t seen yet. And I have to say, this WAS pretty relaxing after the day I had, even with the fact I was pedaling through a mountain course on the bike at the time.
2. Continue editing Chapter 4 of “Londerland Bloodlines: Santa Monica’s Vale Of Tears”: Check – Alice has found the Gallery Noir by following Rabbit through the parking garage – but her first attempt at finding a way in has been stymied by one Officer Chunk, not that Alice knows his name yet. She’s taken his genial attempt to shoo her off with good grace, and is now sourcing other ways to get into the building while hiding in the parking garage. There’s a side door, but Chunk’s chosen to lounge within sight of it. . .and while Alice knows she can sneak past him while invisible, opening the door will break the spell. But she’s just come up with a plan that involves the dumpster nearby. . .
3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – two in, two out, plus the usual bonus video –
A) Started with a Plumbella video, “breaking news: Bella Goth missing (again)” – aka another video on the creation of her new save file, which focuses on making over the Goths! In particular, removing Bella from the family, giving Mortimer an “aged Victorian widower in perpetual morning” look, updating the kids a bit, redoing their house to be more Gothic Victorian – and then creating the “Goughs,” Martin and his family, and giving them the lore that they’re copycats of the Goths who keep claiming that the Goths are copycatting them. There’s a lot of animosity between the families as a result – but now Cassandra has gone and fallen in love with their daughter. Drama! XD In between all that was some rambling on her love of everything Victorian except the fashion, and her hatred of the classism inherent in the UK (apparently she heard someone refer to her hometown as “sewage” once just because it was in the North!). It was a pretty interesting video, and I particularly liked the house builds – she had some cool dark Victorian designs, and I confess to loving a house with a good turret. :) Good stuff!
B) Then it was over to the Subs for Call Me Kevin – and his half of the “I played Sims 4 Multiplayer Mod with Anna and tormented her because I’m a troll online” chaos. XD This was mostly what we saw with Anna, only from Kevin’s perspective (sneakily adopting the first toddler while pretending to look for a job, pretending to work late to talk with Nancy Landgraab, taking the Landgraabs on the ill-fated seduction vacation), though it included a few other moments – specifically, we saw here Kevin adopting “Kevin’s Cat” along with the toddlers; more of Anna being a disaster single mother while Party Animal did his thing (through he DID let her use the bigger bedroom); and Party Animal actually hosting a party – a Black-And-White party where one of the guests managed to set the stove on fire. XD Plus a visit from Vlad, who did a lot of unnecessary bat-teleporting, as all vampires do. XD Just as amusing as when we saw it on Anna’s channel!
C) And then we had GrayStillPlays and Short Ride – aka “the creators of Short Life have moved from forcing their characters to walk around their terrible obstacle courses to giving them various vehicles to ride around their terrible obstacle courses!” Like a dude with a man-bun pedaling a bike over various platforms, knocking a few down to form bridges. Or the same dude being chased by a homing bomb while on a Segway with extremely poor mobility. Or said dude being chased by a GIANT EYEBALL while rolling down a long hill in a shopping cart before struggling to get up another, much smaller hill. Or Florida Woman being forced to pogo over various explosives and up out of flooding pits. And that’s on TOP of the usual spinning spiky things, sawblades in the ground, and unstable barrels everywhere. Also an alligator head with chompy teeth, which Gray was VERY pleased to see. XD But yes, much pain to be had while collecting all the stars and completing all the levels – hoping we’ve got another staple of the channel here. XD
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – on VictorLuvsAlice, I have my two-part Wednesday Chill Save update, a Thursday collection of Fallout of Darkness shitposts, and a Friday reblog of a modern Alice design in the queue; on Valice Multiverse, two ask replies. Still have to get the Song Saturday up for VLA, but I want to listen to the song again first so I can properly finish my notes and tags. And doing it tomorrow reminds me to reset the queue to “one post per day” too!
Well, at least I was productive this evening despite my mood. But now I get to go to bed, in preparation for going back to work and going this all over again. *sigh* Maybe tomorrow will be a little less frantic. . .night all!
