crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
I had a few grumpy moments (mostly related to Sims, see below) and of course my period made it so I was pretty tired and generally blah all day (not helped by the lousy weather) -- but I did get everything I wanted to get done, done, soooo:

1. Clean my room: Check – started around 10:50 AM after breakfast, finished around 2 PM (including a half-hour break for lunch)! Fortunately it wasn’t too dusty in my room, and I was able to get the majority of it done BEFORE lunch, even with some interruptions related to the laundry my Mom was doing (and me throwing in my sheets). All sorted for another couple of weeks, yay!

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs, watch the AT4W in my Watch Later: Check! All cleared out –

A) Started before supper with that AT4W – “Transformers: Deviations!” IDW’s look at a “what-if” scenario for the original animated Transformers movie – specifically, what if Kup intervened when Hot Rod tried to assist in Optimus Prime and Megatron’s fight, meaning Optimus didn’t die?

Well, as it turns out, everyone decided to rag on Hot Rod for being stupid and trying to interfere in “battles above his pay grade;” Optimus led the forces back to Cybertron to try and end the war, and met up with the character who knew about Unicron, thus learning about the new planet-destroying threat; Starscream – as new leader – met Unicron and got upgraded into Megascream – only to annoy Unicron so much he decided to eat one of Cyberton’s moons and try to wreck the planet anyway; Hot Rod’s attempt to save Ultramagnus’s shuttle from a Decepticon attack ended up in KILLING all of the other Transformers on said shuttle when they crashed into a junk moon (him and human character Danny being the only ones to get out in time); despite this Hot Rod stole away on Optimus’s shuttle when he went to meet Unicron solo – and this time managed to save him from a second death and use the Matrix of Leadership to blow himself, most of the Decepticons, and Unicron up, allowing Optimus to give a heroic speech about sacrifice and rebuilding to the survivors. *waggles hand* Basically it’s not as “what if” as it could be, and while the writing and the art are both competent, Linkara was majorly turned off by how much the writers seemed to hate poor Hot Rod. Dude is jumped on for every little thing in this story! It’s sad. Honestly, the best part was at the beginning, with Linkara going on a rant about how the deaths of robots (like Optimus Prime’s in the original movie) can really traumatize kids and why didn’t anyone help Johnny 5 in Short Circuit 2?! XD (To be fair, that IS an upsetting scene. . .)

B) Then, in between supper and dessert, we had the “Wyrd Sisters Podcast Finale” – Part 2! Because they couldn’t wrap up the recap of the whole series in one hour-long episode last month, who knew. XD They managed to do it this time, though, starting from Carpe Jugulum and going through The Shepherd’s Crown (though Liz nearly combined that one with I Shall Wear Midnight thanks to feeling like the former was more of an ending to the Tiffany Aching YA series). It was a fun ride to see what they remembered and how they felt about each book in turn, and to listen to them pick out favorite moments and favorite books (Monstrous Regiment was a favorite for both of them, and Manning also likes Going Postal like me :D). Feels weird to think this is the finale, though Manning has left open the possibility of popping back to do future Discworld stuff once they’ve had a sufficient break. I left in my comment I’m always ready to rant about the Going Postal adaptation. XD

C) And finally, with dessert, I caught up on today’s upload – GrayStillPlays and “100 scariest myths in GTA 5!” Alex was back with a fresh set of challenge boards based on making Gray face his “fears” (as suggested by the commenters), and oh boy, did we have some doozies. Some of the challenges were actually reasonably simple and short – Gray having to fly a broom through twenty windmills (he got lightly slapped by the last one, but didn’t fall over and die, so win); Gray having to extinguish himself after being set on fire by falling in a pool (the guy throwing molotovs at him couldn’t knock him in, so Gray just ran through the flames to take the plunge). A couple were a bit complex and took longer – Gray having to skydive between the gap in a large prop axe and the billboard it was stuck in (took a few tries, but going at an angle finally got him through the one bit large enough to admit a Florida Man); Gray having to land in the center of a helicopter’s spinning prop with the superjump (figuring out the exact spot to jump from so he landed on the center solid bit and didn’t get diced took some doing, but he managed it); Gray having to skydive between the cabin of a hovering helicopter and its spinning prop (much like the axe one, he just had to come at it from the right angle using his Super Floridaman Moribus flying powers).

And then there was Gray having to run across a graveyard and back again while being chased by Jason AND with the special Alex Edition (tm) of the Chaos Mod on. As you might imagine, despite being only the second board, that one took up most of the video. XD Poor Gray had to live through being randomly yeeted, aliens coming to torment him, random earthquakes, being forced into first person, random credits, and the virtual representation of the hurricane that just plowed through (he mentioned he lost his garage and his power, but judging by the fact he’s still uploading videos, I think he’s okay otherwise). He got through it in the end, though, with the power of Floridaman Coffee! (AKA the super jump/super speed power.) Good to see you’re still doing all right, Gray. :)

3. Play Sims 4 and attend Smiler's last day of university classes; have Victor practice his magic more; and have Alice invite Rory over for werewolf training: Check! Though it was a rough start, let me tell you:

Attempt One: I put in my new “multiple best friends” mod from LittleMissSam (I got tired of trying to find the setting on MC Command Center again), then booted up the game and resumed with Victor, Alice, and Smiler – with Victor having gained a sudden fear of the dark! Well, that’s actually understandable for him. I sent him to repair the broken water collectors and wind turbine while Alice finished her latest playful painting and Smiler hatched the first of the two chicks that were incubating in the coop! :) A little rooster baby, aw. They wandered off to “troll teh forums” on their laptop after that while I had Victor go hatch the other chick (a hen). Victor then proceeded to run upstairs in a fearful tizzy – I had Smiler try to calm him down (which didn’t work well), and then realized for Alice (hey, what if this painting is a masterpiece? I should have her on the ‘Painter Extraordinaire’ aspiration!” So I swapped her over – just in time, too, as the painting WAS a masterpiece!

And then I went back up to Victor and Smiler, and Victor had just insulted Smiler. *facepalm* And shortly thereafter, the day ticked over, and I got the message about Alice (now rummaging for spare parts) having gone through a full moon – and realized I’d forgotten to switch her aspiration back to “Werewolf Initiate” so that would tick off for a milestone. *facepalm* Damn it.

Attempt Two: Okay, you know what, we’re rewinding time – I haven’t played THAT much, we can redo this. This time, Victor did not pick up a fear of the dark, so I was able to send him to repair all the stuff in the back without issue. Smiler hatched their chick, and I sent Alice to complete her painting –

And realized AFTER she’d finished it that I’d accidentally set her aspiration to “Master Actress” by mistake.

Attempt Three: And that’s where I took a moment, exited out of the game in full, deleted all the screenshots I’d thus taken, and just started over entirely. Fortunately, third time was the charm, and I was able to complete everything I’d hoped to complete. Including –

Attend Smiler's last day of university classes: After correctly redoing the events of the morning (Victor – once again with a fear of the dark – repairing the broken water collectors and wind turbines; Smiler and Victor each hatching a chick in the coop (rooster and hen again); Victor taking care of his garden instead of going to yell incoherently at Smiler; Alice successfully painting her masterpiece and finishing her first full moon (each time with the correct aspiration active); and having Smiler and Victor chat over breakfast, with Smiler giving Victor a boost of happiness to try and overcome his fears), I had Smiler take out the trash and then head to university for their final day of classes! They took down and then put back up the banners on the sports stadium for Spirit Squad points, practiced their foosball over in the commons, then practiced their singing before heading to their final exam on their guitar elective! Despite a stressed mood, they did well, so I sent them straight in again to give their final presentation, then had them fly over to the commons again to try and get a school cheer going. No go, unfortunately – the other students were too busy stomping around in bad moods. (I can relate.)

Well, that wasn’t going to fly – Smiler had a Spirit Squad rank to max out! Fortunately, their final task of the day was to go prank the rival university’s statue, so off they went to Britechester to clean up their previous yarnbombing and instead toilet paper Britechester’s big book. They also took off and put back on again the Foxbury banners on Britechester’s stadium. XD This ALMOST got them all the way to the top of the bar – excited, I had them head back over to Foxbury, where – yes! There were a couple of students at the spawn point! Smiler did the Foxbury cheer a couple of times for them –

And their rank maxed out! :D Right before graduation, they finally became a Senior Member, unlocking the mascot outfit, the special Foxbury version of the ping-pong table (I thought maybe they’d gotten a free one, but no go – it was only $1,000, though, so I just bought them one), and an anti-UBrite poster. As their boyfriend and metamour (Alice – apparently that’s the name for a partner of a partner) are both Britechester graduates, I sold THAT the moment they were back at home. XD

Have Victor practice his magic more: With THAT all sorted, it was time to take care of other things – like Smiler’s need for plasma! Fortunately, what with Victor officially Liking vampires, getting permission to drink from him was super easy. :) Smiler filled up, then thanked Victor with a suave kiss –

And then I remembered “oh yeah, I got the multiple best friend mod for a reason” and had them become besties! :D So now Victor and Smiler are best friends too, with Victor still best friends with Alice. :D Just gotta remember to have Smiler becomes besties with Alice too next time. . . But yeah, this allowed Smiler to finally complete both the “Good Vampire” and the “Friend of the World” aspirations, getting both their bonus traits! I wasn’t sure what I wanted to leave them on, so I ended up plopping them on a Wellness aspiration and telling them to practice yoga. XD Alice, meanwhile, busied herself decursing the house a bit (getting rid of a cursed doll and a slime creature), taking a thoughtful shower, and doing another painting (while I hung up the previous one, since I liked it) –

And Victor, as per the header, practiced his magic! First was a failed casting of Scruberoo – as that seemed to have no negative effects, I just had him cast it again, and that succeeded and cleaned him up. Of course, thanks to his curse, he picked up a fair amount of charge from that – good thing I picked up the Discharge perk for him right away! Then it was time to head outside and practice Untamed Magic for a while, watched by the animals around the farm. XD Unfortunately, rather than learning Chillio like I wanted, Victor ended up picking up ZipZap (the one that allows you to shoot lightning at things and people). Meeh. Still, it’s another spell in his pocket! I had him take a moment to stop a fox attacking the rooster, then try to socialize with said rooster (telling a joke worked; trying to play peek-a-boo with it didn’t) before going to practice his Practical Magic a bit more – no new spells, but it helped with gaining XP for leveling up!

Have Alice invite Rory over for werewolf training: While all that was going on, Smiler (having wandered away from their yoga to chat with ghosts and weed the garden) got their final report card – A+s straight across the board! :D Nothing left for them to do but graduate on the morrow at 10:18 AM! :D And Alice, shortly before finishing a second masterpiece (which – I again failed to catch in time to switch her to “Painter Extraordinaire,” but I wasn’t about to restart again NOW), called up Rory and invited her over! Rory arrived in full transformed mode (with still-human-style feet, to my puzzlement – the overrides I downloaded for the werewolf paws seem to only be applying to Alice? Eh, at least SHE looks right), and Alice greeted her warmly and started chatting on the new sitting area on the porch.

It was then that I realized “Ooh, wait, it’s getting dark, Victor’s fear is supposed to kick in – but he’ll lose it if he ends up confident. Hey, Smiler, you done with your bath yet?” Smiler fortunately was, and I flew them down to release a confidence bomb as Victor came back over – for a second, I thought he’d missed it as he walked right past Smiler and into the house (no, sir, I did not tell you to do that!), but fortunately he still picked up the moodlet and cured the fear, yay. :) Smiler then went off to work, and I started paying more attention to Alice and Rory’s conversation as they chatted about Moonwood Mill, had deep conversations, and –

Fell in love?? What?! When the fuck did THAT happen?! I looked away for a second! >( Fortunately there was a quick fix to that, and it’s called “Ask To Be Just Friends.” *facepalm* I gotta get Lumpinou’s mods for sexual orientation and open relationships. . . ANYWAY, with that sorted, Alice turned into her beastly form and chatted about her recent experiences and played tug-of-war with Rory (with Guidry looking on) to level up her werewolf skills a bit before sending her home and heading out to do some scavenging before sleeping under the moon. Victor did some gardening, then set some pears to fizz up in the juice fizzer before going to get a few winks himself, and Smiler came back from their fishing job with another raise, yes. I left it with them playing Guitar (having just achieved Level 6). Whew! Busier and more frustrating day than I expected, but hey – at least I achieved all my goals. Next time – Smiler’s graduation, and a celebratory kegger!

4. Work on my Blades in the Dark Valicer stuff: Check – ended up doing this late in the day, but I did finish off my “how they met” write-up (basically, after saving Victoria from Barkis and Emily forcing him to end himself, the Bluecoats (the Duskwall police) showed up and found a Spirit Warden mask on Barkis – I don’t know yet if he was an actual warden or just stole some of their kit, but the Bluecoats promptly tried to arrest Victor, Alice, and Smiler for some serious murder, forcing them to fight them off (Alice managing to disarm/disable six at once!) and flee into Six Towers, where they found a place to stay. And after Alice told Victor and Smiler about Bumby, they decided that, if they were ALREADY accused of murder. . .) and updating some more stuff on the makeshift character sheets (like noting that Alice’s fine hand weapon has to be a version of her Vorpal Blade; heavy weapon something like her Hobby Horse; and maybe the scary weapon a variation on the Jabberwock’s Eye Staff). Good easy stuff for a day when my brain isn’t up for proper writing.

Additionally:

-->“Work on tumblr drafts” might not have been an official to-do list item today, but I did get all my pictures for the next Chill Save update (Saturday, where Victor failed Repairio a frightening amount of times and Smiler had a successful School Spirit Day) sorted! Just gotta get the actual posts done tomorrow.

So yeah, not too shabby, I think. Plus Mom made brownies tonight, so I got to have that, chocolate ice cream, and whipped cream for dessert, which DEFINITELY made period-me happy. :p As it stands right now, though, I'm doing a bit of the social thing, so I gotta get back to that -- let's get the Fallout Sunday to-do list rolling:

1. Keep up with the FO4 Playthrough Progression

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs and Jon's Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel LP

3. Play Fallout 4 and get the transmitter for the USS Constitution and advance that questline

4. Work on tumblr drafts

5. Get in a workout

Yeah, gotta keep on top of that last one, as Orbpocalypse starts tomorrow! That'll be fun. :) As will FO4, of course. But for now, social stuff and maybe some TV Tropes. Night all!
