A Few Thoughts on Victor/Alice
May. 5th, 2010 10:59 pm-DW: Since when is it only a few thoughts?-
Ha ha. I'm trying to get to bed at a decent time, so I am going to try and keep this one short. I've been thinking about how I would have designed them as a Sim family, and I came to a realization:
I keep making Victor a househusband.
And no, it's not just because he looks cute in an apron (in my opinion.)
-TTV: *facepalm*-
No, cute means clothes. If I had said "sexy," that means nearly naked Victor time.
-TTV: Oh.-
-OD: *tentacles try to dissuade him, but sick curiosity must be sated* What about us?-
*studies* Hmmm. I think the fact you had to wear an apron while blacksmithing might have killed the cute angle. Unless the apron in question was extra-frilly and pink or something. . . Sexy is alive and kicking, of course.
-VD2: Just to let you know, there will be no nearly-nude blacksmithing.-
Oh, of course not. I don't want anybody getting hurt.
Anyway, back to Victor inna apron, it just seems more right to have him be the one around the house. It's a nice, quiet position -- when he's not watching the kids, he can read, play piano, do his drawings, stuff like that.
-TD: What's Alice doing in the meantime?-
Toy shop. I thought that was appropriate too.
-TTV: *fidgets* I -- all right, perhaps I would be good as a househusband, but -- frankly, I don't see why my fictional self can't contribute monetarily as well.-
Actually, I was thinking Natural Scientist for a day job. Top level has one workday and pays a pretty penny.
-TTV: Oh! That sounds perfect!-
-RPD: She's neglecting to mention the uniform for the top level is fig leaves covering -- certain areas.-
-TTV: THAT DOES NOT SOUND PERFECT.-
Well then, you're lucky I'm off Sims for the most part. Can't promise anything should I get a new computer/figure out a way to finally get the latest EPs to install on this one.
-VD: *whispers to TTV* Don't worry, she's way too busy playing Spider Solitaire these days to even try.-
Hey!
