Result of Late-Night Scan?

I shut down all other programs, have Kaspersky start scanning, AND get the idea to put my second fan so it's blowing air on the laptop.

It actually shuts down EARLIER this time (usually it gets to 30%, this time it didn't even get pas the "abnormally long 1%" stage). And I'd swear that when I felt the patch that usually heats up, it wasn't as hot as it usually gets.

Suddenly the "Kaspersky is being an ass" theory has some more credibility. I still need to test if "Alice: Madness Returns" will still trigger a blackout if Kaspersky is off, though. Stupid computer issues. . . .

On the upside, here's the start of the latest 100 Drabbles thread over in 8butterflyboy8. A few of these are on the sad side, but I hope you enjoy them anyway. There will be more tomorrow, promise.

Is this the month for laptops to turn to shit? My year-old lappy has been having it's own issues. The latest: My wireless mouse can no longer be read by the system, but the wireless keyboard (same brand, mind you) is fine. My Fuze had issues with readability, too. The latter particularly sucks as the player can only be charged via the computer and my PC isn't good for shit, these days. I think it's a driver issue, but lacking a good chunk od leisure time, I haven't had a chance to properly scope out the problem.

Ugh, that sucks. :( I really hope you can get yours fixed, soon and cheaply. And yours is only a year old too? They really don't make 'em to last, do they?
