Another Beautiful Saturday

crossover_chickNot quite as warm as the last one, plus kind of windy, but still! :D I got out three times today -- cashing my paycheck, looking for Cadbury Mini Eggs (couldn't find a small bag, ended up settling for a pack of M & Ms), and going out for just a plain old walk. Felt good to be out in the sunshine and fresh air, let me tell you. :) And I believe it's supposed to be in the 50s from this point forward, so that's a hopeful sign of spring.
Today was mainly a day about catching up on stuff online -- RP tags and YouTube videos. I also finished first pass editing on the first chapter of "In The Land of the Dead," so hopefully that'll be able to go up soon. Tomorrow, though, I might do a quick edit pass on the first chapter of "Forgetting You" and get that up on my website. Need to get things moving on there again.
Main update of the day comes from DragonVale -- I have rare dragon pictures! Also a fun story that relates to one, so let's show those:
This here is Orville, my Sandstorm, whom I was going to name Marty until he came with that adorable name. Have to find a different Marty. . .maybe among the Dark dragons. . . Anyway, he's on the Breeding Island here, because I paired him up with Fafnir, my Thunder, to try and get the Lapis while I worked with Dino and Echo on an Olympus dragon.
I got a 35-hour breed time first thing.
The Lapis, however, has a 32-hour breed time. What has a 35-hour one?
An Olympus dragon.
So yeah, I have been pranked, but it is best prank.
Here are some eggs for your viewing enjoyment -- the Terradiem and the Ovalith! Yup, I earned my first one this evening when I turned in my egg count for the day. It only has a 30 second incubation time, so I went ahead and snapped this one fast so you could enjoy its egg before I hatched it.
And what hatched was this cutie named Shimmer (which is another name that is also a type of dragon, but I don't talk about my Shimmer dragon Diver much). She's hanging out in the Gemstone Habitat that was the reward before her. My other Ovalith dragon (yes, I'm expecting to get them both -- it's only the Lost Island that's likely to be out of my reach) will go on the Gemstone Island with the rest of the dragons. I may have the Lapis, if/when I get it, join Shimmer in the Habitat -- it feels like it should be near the Sun dragons or something, since they share some Egyptian influences.
So yeah -- good day, can't complain. Now back to the tumblr business! G'night all!

Date: 2014-04-20 03:25 am (UTC)And, since I'm here (I'm waiting for my alarm to ring so I can put the baby's clothes in the dryer), Svartos won a Silver and taking a page from your book I put Blossom into Plant.
I got annoyed when my attempts at a Terradiem failed so I wound up using some of my gems and still failed. I'm getting two Rivers but I'm not sacrificing 13x2 gems to speed those up. I'll have 333 again in no time really since two of my Gemstone Habitats will produce tomorrow plus whatever I'll win in the Colosseum.
That's about it, really.

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that. Meeh. :( *patpat* And yeah, that's true. The further along you get in the game, the easier it really is to get everything. I'm almost back up to the 100 mill mark when it comes to money, which is nice. Allows me to think about building stuff. I still need that Hibernation Cave and Storage Tower. . .and the remaining Shrines. . .
