I wore shorts today! SHORTS! :D :D :D And I properly opened up my windows and everything! Hell, I've got one of them open still right now! :D Seriously, it was like early summer! :D We're expected to get a cooldown midweek, which is a bit annoying, but still. Having days like this makes up for all of April, I swear. :D

So, pretty low-key Mother's Day, largely because my mom had to work all day. I got her a nice card, though -- a 3-D one, in fact. It's a little box of flowers and butterflies that you can pop out into a centerpiece-like thing. :) And Dad got her a big old plant that none of us knows what it is. XD Big leaves, basically. And according to Mom it can get to be about nine feet tall. O.o Still, we had some nice times in the evening -- Mom's employers sent her home with some suppers, and we had a cheesecake sampler as dessert. Om nom nom.

As for the rest of my day -- well, I'd planned to be a little more productive, and get to Sims, but that kind of fell through. ^^; I did get a walk in, though, and some writing. And I'm all caught up on my Helloween again, which is nice. :) (Eventually I've gotta do the same for My Little Pony -- maybe next weekend I'll do the last four episodes as a marathon.) I just seem to gravitate toward extreme laziness on weekends. Maybe because I don't have to go anywhere on a bus. My RP partners seem to forgive me -- and yesterday was EXTREMELY quiet on that front, so no real worries, I suppose.

At any rate, I gotta catch up with some messages and tags before bed. G'night all!

I was barely home yesterday so bigish update now, heh. Mom and I went to the mall so she could get a haircut (I got mine trimmed but you can't really tell...I actually plan on getting 8 to 10 inches lopped off and donating it after ComicCon and before Florida) and I wanted to get Antoinette some Spring pjs (short sleeves but long pants is my definition). I also wanted to go into Hot Topic because I desperately wanted a Doctor Whooves t-shirt, lol. I found this and this for me, this and this for Antoinette and this (not the clear one, the solid one) for my cubicle. He's happily hanging out with Derpy on my shelf, hehehe. They had a great shirt with both Doctor Whooves and Derpy but they only had it in an extra large and that's too big even for me. The one I got is a medium but it looks big so I hope it doesn't shrink too much when I wash it.

In DV news, Erik won a Gold, threw Sparky into Lightning and he won a Gold. Then I threw Momoka into Water.

I wonder if there's some kind of algorithym(sp?) or something programmed into the game that states that if you use gems to speed the incubation then you're more likely to get something rare on the next try. See, I finally managed the Sprout in the wee hours of this morning. I'd set an alarm for when one set of breeders were going to be done and I wanted to restart right away and maximize the chances. After that fail (my fails favored Lotuses and Sands mostly), I looked at the second set of breeders and they had about 45 minutes left but I wanted to go back to sleep and not just doze for 45 minutes since I had to get up soon so I used a gem and the very next retry was the Sprout. *shrug*

So I bought the Large Seasonal and just stuck it in a corner of my crowded Island for now. I really should get organized a bit, haha. So now I've decided to start with the Featured Goals and I have breed a Heat and Mirage Dragon in my list (and the "Earn a Silver Water Shrine" thing but those will happen when they happen...) so I'm going to try for the Heat first since a Mirage is an Opposite and I've nowhere to put it currently where it won't take a negative hit. I'll also profit breed when the Sprout is done until DV decides to release something else.

DC is 225,161,297 and gems is 569. I can almost afford the Eighth Island when I'm at that level, lol. Not that I'll be getting it right away of course. ^^

Ahhh, I see! I haven't been to the mall in forever. . . Getting your hair properly whacked off before Florida sounds like a good idea. Part of the reason I got mine cut short when I did was to have a cooler head for summer. :P And LOL, nice haul! I'm sure Hooves and Derpy are having fun on their little shelf. :P *fingers crossed your shirt stays nice*

I got a Gold from Gana and a Silver from Solder. Victoria's in the Water event.

Hmmm -- I dunno. I think it's supposed to be as random as they can make it in the computer. Though if they are favoring people spending gems. . . Eh. Still no luck with me -- I am DROWNING in River dragons. >.<

Sounds like you've got a good plan. I'm not getting the Large Seasonal until I manage a Sprout. I also need to clean up my islands, but I'll probably do that once I've bred all the Dark hybrids and suchlike, so I know just where everything will be sitting.

DC for me is 253,398,802 -- I could get the Eighth Island straightaway when I hit the Level-up. Though like you I'll probably wait a bit to make sure I have enough cash to clear it off. . .and to have some left over for making food. *nods* Gems are 370.

Oh holy hell...according to the Facebook feed there will be FIVE new dragons that use all ten basic types released this week.

I hope they give us ample time to breed the suckers...
