Beautiful Weather, Stressful Afternoon

Not only was the math portion of class long as fuck (we've started on decimals, and conversions take more math than I'd like), I ran into some issues when it came to getting home:
-->When I went to hit the bathroom before getting my bus, I discovered someone had vomited in the stall -- and the sink. It was dried, and I discovered this before touching anything more dangerous than the stall door, but still. I skedaddled and used my hand sanitizer post-haste.
-->When the bus finally came, something was wrong with said bus. Normally the bus beeps a few times when it first starts up, but this one wouldn't STOP beeping no matter what the driver did. A really shrill beep too. Add to that the fact that I think there was some other mechanical malfunction, and we only got as far as the next stop (Twin River Casino) before the driver said that "you're gonna have to get off and wait for the next bus." Said next bus was not only a bit late, but even if it hadn't been, it wouldn't have come in time for me to get home at my usual time. Fortunately there's a bus that leaves only a half-hour later, which I was able to catch, but it was still annoying.
-->Also, bathrooms at Kennedy Plaza? Don't have soap dispensers. Again, good thing I had hand sanitizer.
And then I ended up helping Mom and Dad with some grocery shopping when I did make it back home, plus making dinner and having to take my shower, and -- yeah, the afternoon was pretty much shot for me. *sigh* At I can say I got plenty of time outside in the warm weather. Seriously, it was just like summer. If it didn't actually hit 80 inland I'll be very surprised.
I also had a good writing period, and I haven't been completely overwhelmed with tags, so catching up won't be so bad (even if I just do one or two rounds of replies before turning in). And Dad got chocolate graham crackers, so ice cream sandwiches may be a thing for the next few days. I even got to watch Linkara, which was nice. So yeah, I can't say the day was horrible -- I just wish I hadn't gotten a bum bus home. :( Ah well. That and River dragons will be my griping points for the day. As it is, I'm gonna do tag catch-up. Later!

Date: 2014-05-13 12:57 pm (UTC)The Emerald came with the name Ray but as I said I was going to do I renamed it Chuck. He'd probably roll his eyes at me if I told him I'd named a dragon after him, heh.
The Sprout is safely in the Nursery and I haven't gotten a Heat or Mirage yet. I know I said I wasn't going for the Mirage right away but I figured what the hell. I could always stick it in the Hibernation Cave if I needed to.
DC is 236,807,357 and gems is 580.
Um...I think that's it.
Edit: OMG have you seen the update?!

Date: 2014-05-13 11:58 pm (UTC)LOL -- well, I'm happy you were able to welcome Chuck to the family.
*nodnod* Indeed -- Hibernation Cave is handy for that. I'm still stuck catering to masses of River dragons.
DC: 266,657,079
Gems: 379 -- I'm planning to upgrade the breeding cave once it's free.
And I went and looked it up right after I saw your edit. That's interesting, a way of keeping track of the dragons! Fancy-schmancy building too. I gotta say, it is nice to have a place to see in-game which dragons I still need. And the new dragons seem pretty cute (thank God they're permanent additions!).

Date: 2014-05-14 02:45 am (UTC)And a flippin' AWESOME Agents of SHIELD season finale (have I mentioned they got picked up for a second season? *squee!*). Coulson gets to tell Nick Fury off for bringing him back to life on screen. No mention of the cards, but the scene was great. Coulson will return to the Inkwell for the Martys and Victors party. Though the stinger was very ambiguous about him because he was drawing symbols or something on the wall like the Big Bad was doing earlier and that's something connected to the drug that brought him back I think. But we won't mention it because since it happened at night we can say AL was asleep or out of the room when he did it and thus doesn't know about it, heh.

Date: 2014-05-14 11:57 pm (UTC)Ooooo, nice. :D I'm glad it went so well! Although yes, that's a bit worrying. . . Suppose it's all in favor of setting up season two, but still. Hopefully AL won't have too much to deal with when that starts! Sounds like quite the thrill ride.
