Okay, that's probably an unfair assumption -- I'm sure Doc and Marty were doing plenty of prepwork for their "weather experiment." But we see none of it in the movie, so this is another of those "BTTF Days That Kind of Isn't." At least this time I got the 10:04 at the top legitimately.
Anyway, as for my day, since this is a rare moment when Mom and I have a day off together (she has her time off during the week, and I naturally have weekends), we decided to go out together -- mainly to get me a pair of winter shoes, since I desperately need them with the weather rapidly getting colder. Highlights of the day:
-->Took the long way around going up to the shoe store so we could enjoy the semi-nice weather (warm, but constantly getting dangerously cloudy). Mom showed me where she had her accident too (she's doing pretty damn well these days -- got a chiropractor that's helping a lot).
-->After some searching through the clearance section, we found a great part of warm lined boots that were 70% off! I only paid $15 for boots that were originally 50! :D So I'm all set for winter now, w000.
-->Took a wander around Barnes & Noble next, got the next book I need in the Discworld series -- Unseen Academicals! We're back with the wizards, w0000! :D
-->Hit the nearby Newbury's, but didn't see anything that particularly interested me. Mom got a pin for Dad, though: "I may be old, but I saw all the great bands." XD
-->Went to Richard's Pub on Route l (? could have been 2) for lunch. It was a decent experience -- they have good food and plenty of it, and the service was good for the most part. But we waited a little longer than we should have to actually get served, and the drinks were kind of a disappointment (shockingly small glasses for the price). Don't regret going there, but not going to make it a regular hot spot by any means.
-->Hit Wal-Mart for supper stuff (wonton soup, fried wontons, and lo mein, om nom), and Mom got a perfume that she almost had to pay twice as much for at CVS. Didn't get everything, though, so we had to hit Stop & Shop for the last few ingredients. Also the dollar store for liquid soap (Mom was looking for a particular dispenser).
And after that it was back home! Felt good to be out and about and doing things on my own schedule. And even better, I managed to write too -- for pretty much a full hour! :D Major cleaning up going on the next chapter of "In The Land of the Dead," yes. Maybe I do have the time and energy to finish The Forgotten Vows Verse after all.
Right now, though, I have to finish up RP stuff before I hit the sheets -- back to work tomorrow! At least that'll mark halfway through the week already. G'night all, and see you tomorrow for the big one! :D
