Okay, some thoughts about Episode One of the TellTale BTTF Game:
-->Had to install it twice, but this seemed to be an issue with my DirectX and not the game itself. (Am really hoping this does not affect my Sims in any way)
-->A bit slow to load in spots, but that could just be Chester
-->A lot of people over on Telltale's forums are complaining about the puzzles being too easy. I have been wondering what game they were playing. Most of them ARE pretty easy to figure out, but a couple really left me stumped, even WITH looking up hints. (I stumbled across the solution to one of the last ones by accident)
Here's Where We Get Into Spoiler Territory )

Overall, I have to say, I liked it. Mostly because I found it extremely funny in parts. There's so many little injokes and plain craziness and the expressions on the character's faces sometimes (particularly Teen Doc's). . . . I'm looking forward to Episode II. (Looking more forward to Episode III, but that's only because "Doc Horrible" has my attention in a big way.)

First, more of "A Week of Secundus Christmas":
Day Six: Pudding )

Anyway, worked some more on "Secundus" today, but I have a spark of an idea for a Telltale BTTF Drabbles88. Mostly based around one certain scene late in the game. I've got basically the ending down, it's just a matter of finding the right beginning and prompt.
-VD2: We're all up for a new Drabbles88. The last one you wrote was for the card game, right?-
Yeah, I think so. I need to do a Ride one too, if I haven't already. Then I'll have all the "official" universes.
-DW: Beg pardon?-
Well, it seems to me we have a couple of distinct "official" BTTF-verses:
--->The Movies (aka canon)
--->The Ride (Doc comes back, founds Institute of Future Technology)
--->The Animated Series (Doc comes back, there are many rather poorly conceived adventures)
--->The Card Game (Where everybody's kids and timelines collide in the far future)
--->The Telltale Game (Doc hasn't come back, but the DeLorean has)
No, I'm not counting the other video games. They're a) adaptations of the actual movies, and b) sucky except for the Japanese one (and even that has its moments).
-VD: Hmmm, interesting. So there's at least five versions of me -- one canonical, four semi-canonical.-
Yup. AU is alive and well in the BTTF fandom, and I intend to take advantage of it. :p

As for other news, [livejournal.com profile] clockwork_doc, [livejournal.com profile] museicalmarty, [livejournal.com profile] deadgirlsliekme, and [livejournal.com profile] save_us_alice all posted with various presents they're giving some of their Nexus friends and each other. I saw one of Victor and Alice's friends do something like that and felt I should too. And there's a [livejournal.com profile] ink_sec_sims update too, on the Leeches. No problems with Sims, thank God. :)
And now -- I dunno. I already watched "A Blackadder Christmas," so maybe I'll watch that video someone made of the Corpse Bride and The Nightmare Before Christmas characters doing "The 12 Pains of Christmas."
