The Flying Fire-Breathing Bastard Is Dead!
Oct. 9th, 2013 06:55 pmNot without killing me plenty of times, granted, and forcing me to restart the level entirely a couple of times thanks to bad quicksave moments. Fortunately I eventually figured out that hiding under Gryphon's wing helped spare me from the worst of the bastard's fire breath, and eventually managed to nail him enough times to get him to die. It's always a satisfying moment when that asshole goes down for good. After that, taking care of Royal Rage, Ascension, and Castle Keep was practically a snap. (Well, not quite -- I had to abuse quicksave a bit in the first to keep myself from suffering an untimely death thanks to some annoyingly lively Spade Guards.) Still, I made it, I abused the "shoot the wrong painting and then the right one" shortcut, and tomorrow I defeat both forms of the Queen! :D "Alice" done in a week and two days! After that I'll do a quick run-through of the facebook version of the Interactive Storybook, then it'll be time to start "Madness Returns." :D
Other accomplishment of the day was mainly just editing the first half of Chapter 18. I'm probably going to have to rewrite a bit of the main sequence, though -- I have Victoria making tea to have her doing something while she and Victor talk, but I'm not sure you COULD do that in a Victorian hotel room (she and Christopher are supposed to be visiting some old buddies of his in the city). I'll have to poke around and do more research, methinks. (Maybe ask that one tumblr that's all about crazy Victorian facts? Worth a shot. . .)
Anyway, I should take my shower now, and get cracking on tumblr stuff. Later!
