Happy Birthday Victor and Marty!
Jun. 9th, 2018 11:25 pmBeen an exceptionally nice Saturday, which I strongly appreciate -- especially after the Friday I had at work. Things to be happy about:
-->The weather was gorgeous -- low 80s, dry, with a nice slight breeze. Only complaint was that it was a little cloudier than I would have liked, and even then the sun kept peeping out so that was good.
-->Got my room cleaned up easily, then had lunch with the latest Linkara episode (US 1 returns! With a really weird issue where we get narration from the truck itself O.o) while my parents set up the new post for the lamp outside (the old one had a bad case of rust that was making it lean, sadly)
-->We went out mini-golfing to a new place in Massachusetts! West End Creamery, which is an old dairy farm that now has stuff like bouncy areas, a mini-golf course, and an ice cream stand. We played through the course -- nice little place, all on a hill -- and had ice cream sundaes afterward. Mine was hot fudge with "campfire s'mores" ice cream (graham ice cream with chocolate bits). It was really nice and we're planning to go back in the fall to try out their corn maze :)
-->Got home and got my writing done -- another page on the latest "As Long As You Love Me" (the Holistic Assassin!Alice AU) segment. Might be able to get that up this Thursday even :)
-->Played some Sims, and got Chell her retail store! It's a simple little bakery kiosk at the moment, and we've only sold like three things so far, but hey -- it's progress!
-->Watched an OXTra list on "final missions that just depress us so we try to avoid playing them if it's an open-world game" and an OXBox list on "darkest possible timeline endings/DLC/bonus campaigns that let you do things like kill all your favorite Star Wars characters and conquer Middle-Earth as Sauron" -- fun XD
-->Uploaded the latest "Scenes from Secundus" short -- Warm Hearts, which is mostly a sweet family scene, though it does touch upon Alice having a bit of pyrophobia
-->Watched the Johnny B. Goode clip from BTTF for Marty, and just watched the wedding rehearsal scene from CB for Victor (after browsing devART for any new artwork and rereading a few fave fanfics)
-->And currently doing the RP thing on tumblr after finishing up my queuing on VictorLuvsAlice
So yeah, good, productive day. :) Hopefully tomorrow's more of the same! At the very least, it should still be decent weather. Would be nice to have a weekend that's all summery, instead of half-summer, half-almost-winter. *shakes head* Anyway, probably gonna watch another clip, then get back to work answering stuff. Night all!
