crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Kind of a trafficky ride in, a lot to do (mostly GL-wise, because a lot happened on Halloween, plus I had an extra little burst of activity from the 1st to cover when we were off -- our processing company did a little batch), and a lot of bitching from one of my coworkers about a hell-project coming up. Which, you know, I get it -- it's not gonna be fun in any way shape or form. But I am getting so tired of the complaining, seriously. I feel like she wants to quit, but feels she can't because, well, everyone else is gone. So instead she's just gonna be miserable. *sigh* I'm just trying to get as much of my job done as possible. . .

It wasn't too bad, though -- I got through the GL and such, and of course there's a LOT of candy at work now. XD Plus I had chocolate chip cookies (Mom made some over the long weekend), so that was nice too. (And my parents saved the final two for me! So I'll have some tomorrow too, yay.) Got home with no more than the usual traffic fuss, got in a workout, got the last of my pictures sorted for my Newcrest Adventures update (which I am starting to sort out right now -- captions are still not a thing, so that shortens the process a bit), then did a quick bit of gift fic writing, as a friend has a birthday coming up next Monday. Fortunately I had a bit of inspiration, and it was even "Londerland Bloodlines"-themed -- said friend likes Claudia from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, and we started a thread where Claudia meet LB!Alice on my RP tumblr, so I expanded a bit on that. I figure she'll like that. :) Back to regular "Londerland Bloodlines" on Wednesday then!

After that was a couple of YouTube videos:

A) James Turner finishing his Sims 4 Twitter townhouse! By which I mean he makes up a couple of rooms really nicely, runs out of money to furnish the rest quite SO nicely, then insists on building a second "shell" house next to it so it looks right and having to randomly sell lights and such to keep the whole thing under his $50,000 budget. XD He did it in the end! Barely. But it does look pretty nice, and he was able to cheat some landscaping with debug plants, so good for him. :P It's still a better house than I could probably manage!

B) The latest Atop the Fourth Wall, with another episode of the Clone Saga! And this one was -- not bad?? As in, it had stupid parts, and a lot of whinging on being a clone from Ben, and some dumb artwork, but was a fairly solid story overall about Ben Reilly coming back to New York, and despite himself, taking up the mantle of the Scarlet Spider and winning a fight against Venom (something Peter had always struggled with)? So that was nice! Linkara needed a break after all the Halloween shenanigans, I think. :p Plus we had a cute kitty drop-in during the review, so that was nice. :p

And after that's been the usual catching up on comics/websites, working on queue stuff, and answering messages. Nothing too exciting! Time to finish up getting the posts for Wednesday at least started and in the tumblr queue, and answering what's left in my inbox. Here's hoping for not too bad a week! At least I have the pleasure of another three-day weekend at the end of it. . .night all!
