I gotta learn how to manage my time better -- as it stands, happy 10/6 Alice day (also possibly the release date for American McGee's Alice, though I've seen both this date and a December one?), here's the rundown:

Work – Somewhat less stressful day, though I left a little late AGAIN after two late-day calls (someone doing a payment, Fiscal asking a question). I attribute this partly to my chatty coworker being out and being unable to overstimulate my ass. We’ll see what happens tomorrow!

Beanbags – Yes – nice enough to go out this afternoon! Despite clouds of gnats, ugh. And it was a nice, equitable day – I got W-2-2, Dad got 2-W-3, and Mom got 3-3-W. Yay everyone winning a game. :)

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another round on the bike, and another thirty with “A Spot of Bother,” the second Oxventure! I caught up with the gang as they entered The Boar’s Tooth, the local “rough guys” pub, and located their quarry – Curly Joe, Jack Crackson, and the rest of Corazon’s old crew. Prudence used her Thaumaturgy to frighten away the men at the table next to them, and Merilwen eavesdropped on their conversation to confirm that yes, they were looking for Corazon. Dob cut in to spin a tale about how Corazon had sought shelter in Boathouse Five, and managed to convince the pirates to let them join them on their quest for vengeance. Corazon even put on the world’s most unconvincing French accent to claim that Corazon was responsible for his spider-tiger condition. XD There was a brief worry when the pirates started wondering how the group could have drunk in the other local tavern with the spider-tiger, but fortunately they were able to turn that around on them as being “oh, are you being spider-tiger racist now?” and everyone headed down to the boathouse to start Part 2! The gang managed to trick the pirates into the boathouse and lock the door on them. . .

And then, as they started questioning the pirates about their desire to murder Corazon, Egbert heard a splash, and the gang realized they forgot to bar the SEAWARD side of the boathouse. Meaning the pirates were swimming out to flank them. Dob managed to do a SICK backflip onto the roof to scout out the situation, and found that there were a trio of pirates on both sides, swimming toward shore and ready to take on the gang. Corazon stayed around the front to help convince Curly Joe (rambling on in an attempt to stall them) that his story was keeping them occupied, and the other four split into pairs – Dob and Prudence on one side, Merilwen and Egbert on the other – to take on the pirates! So far, Dob – with first initiative – has made up for his previous lousy rolls by doing an EPIC power chord on his lute to cast “Thunderwave” and just FRY two of the pirates on his side. Dude, Dob can be freaking AMAZING when the dice work out for him. XD Looking forward to how the rest of the gang takes on their pirates!

2. Edit some more on "Londerland Bloodlines": Check – Alice has peeked into Lily’s purse, and found a bail bond! AKA, the reason Rabbit was insistent she visit the diner FIRST. She’s now moved onto Kilpatrick’s, and found the owner VERY talkative (with a hint that he’s kinda bored and lonely on his night shift). They’re currently discussing his missing bounty hunter Carson, and Alice is about to pick up yet another sidequest. . .

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – another three in, three out day –

A) Started with James Turner and another episode of “Every Lot Challenge!” Things remain completely chaotic – and James actively tried to make them MORE chaotic by having Jasmin and Semaj complete aspirations milestones for points so they could BOTH buy the “Fertile” trait so he could have them try for TRIPLETS. XD He also finished the rocket and sent Semaj to space the requisite five times (with one crash that – well, Semaj walked away from it!); had Jasmin try for scholarships and enroll in university (she’s studying Psychology over at University of Britechester – well, “over at,” she’s doing this all from home); had Semaj switch jobs in response to one of those “hey, we want to offer you another position” phone calls into the Business career (and promptly was swamped with five million more, including one from his OLD Secret Agent job); and force-potty-trained Chi while forcing Donnell to make messes so his mom could discipline him for it. All in the name of fulfilling aspirations! Also a lava bomb set one of the wind turbines on fire (fortunately it burned itself out pretty quick), and a lightning strike took out the observatory again. Like I said – chaotic. But a couple of good things happened:

1. Semaj did get a promotion in his new career by the end of the episode, and was able to remove another Lot Challenge! The random number generator picked the current first one, “Filthy” – so at least the place won’t get so grody so fast? Small mercies. . .

2. Jasmin had the next set of babies – no triplets, but it was another set of twins! Both boys again too – Micah and Greyson, as per the random name generator. James is already starting to regret his decisions, as paying the bills once they got home means they have 17 simoleons and no place to PUT these babies. XD

So yeah – lots to take in, but at least Jasmin and Semaj are TRYING to be good parents and handle the chaos! Now if only all the local pets would stop dying on their lot. . .

B) Then it was over to Call Me Kevin for a sponsored look at Far Cry 6! But not a normal look – no, they also sent him a customized controller (apparently inspired by the in-game crafting system to make homemade upgrades to your weapons) to enhance his experience! A customized controller. . .made out of a freaking RECIPROCATING SAW and a REMOTE CONTROL with some analogue sticks welded on. As you might imagine, Kevin, ah, STRUGGLED through most of the opening sequence of the game. It took him quite a while to figure out how to run, how to jump, how to use a zipline. . .all while aiming the business end of the saw at the screen. XD He did eventually get good enough to start exploring the tropical island on which this latest installment in the series takes place (“dictator versus freedom fighters,” I didn’t figure out any more of the plot than that), and even help out the little ragtag band of rebels by getting them their old tech guy back (after said tech guy saved him from death a couple of times in a shootout). And then stealing some depleted uranium for them from a heavily-guarded fort. But it was all worth it because he got an alligator friend out of it. :D Kevin was extremely happy with his new “dog” and took him everywhere to savage guards in between pettings and meals of human meat. XD Nothing gets Kevin down for long! Not even having to play a game on a saw. XD

C) And then we had GrayStillPlays and more Happy Wheels! We started with a hell-themed bottle flip (Gray’s personal mission in this one was to get the 666 at the top standing up), and then moved on through such boards as “Blast Off” (gotta get bottle-flipped onto a chain, lower yourself into a cannon, and then get blasted across a platform onto a win – Gray only JUST lost on an early attempt thanks to having to crawl along with no limbs and thus not having the oomph to reach the win); a board where you just have to survive one mega-jet of doom (no problem for Gray); another take on “Gray’s Hell” with spikes, a wrecking ball, and various bombs (Gray beat it by basically levitating over the entire board); “Survive the Harpoon” (survive a harpoon at point-blank range with a shitty shield – Gray learned the trick was to hold it up so the harpoon only gets HALF-buried in your chest); a board full of battle axes, spears, various yeet tubes, and secret wins (took Gray a few tries and a few arms, but he found them all); a pogo-jump jet wall board (which Gray beat by abandoning the pogo stick to CRAWL UNDER THE JETS); a TV run with a black hole that will eat you if you don’t get moving fast enough (Gray won the day but lost his son); a bottle run with a bit of a head-removing platform at the very end (took some contortions, but Gray got past!); and a board inspired by the Squid Games dystopian evil full of various spikes and a glass-bounce section that caused poor Gray so much pain (but fortunately he wasn’t tricked by the false win at the end). You know, all the usual stuff in Happy Wheels. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – reset the queue speed to two and reblogged an old Song Saturday for this week, so I’m set through then, yay. :)

Whew, good -- now time to hit the sheets before I stay up all night on a work day. At least there's just two days to go, yay~ Night all!
