1 - When did you first start writing? What inspired you to start expressing yourself in that medium?
-VM: Ha! I won!-
Honestly, K, I have no idea. It was a kind of gradual thing. I've always had an active imagination, and I just started scribbling down the stuff I thought of onto spare pieces of paper at school. I started with Marx Brothers stuff, then progressed to BTTF shortly after I saw the movie. I've written over 100 BTTF stories -- most of them crap.
2 - When did the BTTF bug bite?
Back in the late 90s (I have no memory for dates, but I think it was 98), my parents and I went to Florida on vacation. One of the places we went to was Universal Studios. My parents told me I'd like the BTTF ride, and I did. I thought Doc was cool and Biff was evil, and that was it. A few months later, I told my parents that I wanted to see the movie. So we rented it at Blockbuster. INSTANT OBESSION. I fell in love with it. I remember watching Part III the best. I kept yelling at the end for Doc to leave Clara on the train. :p I kept renting it each time we went to Blockbuster, until finally my parents bought the boxed set for me for an 8th-grade graduation present. And the obession just kept growing.
3 - Describe your "happy place" (i.e. the place you could envision when you're upset that makes you happy). Where is it? Is anyone there with you? Etc.
Happy place, happy place -- huh. I've never really pictured myself anywhere specific. I'm usually with the boys, though -- Doc and Marty or VampDoc. If I had to say, Hill Valley.
