Weekends Seem To Be TV Tropes Days For Me
Mar. 29th, 2014 10:00 pmI guess my brain goes, "Oh, you want to be lazy? HERE, THIS IS THE BIGGEST FONT OF LAZINESS EVER." Fortunately, I haven't been completely unproductive -- I wrote a short birthday fic for my friend Britt (Victor/Alice, since she's the Alice to my Victor), and drafted my first version of
deadgirlslikeme's upcoming question to the Nexus to get more of the "wedding plot" rolling. I've been most neglectful of Dreamwidth RPing -- I blame tumblr and long days at school. Keeping up with one site is about all I can do most of the time.
I am also DragonValing -- I have three new additions, in fact!
-->Guardian: Palladium, Light/Metal (named him that because their description paints them as 'rescuer' dragons)
-->Dash: Glass, Light/Earth (named her that because she honestly looks like a dragon version of Rainbow Dash)
-->Flint: Radiant, Light/Metal (autonamed, couldn't think of a better one)
I've also cleared off the Sixth Island completely and moved my Cold dragons and Moon dragons over there. My initial thought was to make it Cold/Dark, but then I realized that since I'm making another island Fire/Light, I was always going to end up with a situation where certain hybrids would be negatively effected. I'm starting to think Cold/Air is the way to go, and Lighting/Dark -- I currently only have one Lightning/Light dragon, and he's easy enough to move. I just want to maximize earnings while making my park look good, ya know?
Also, still no luck on the Sakura front. In fact, today both breeding pairs insisted on making Trees. *grump* Just gotta keep trying, I suppose. . .
Anyway, not much else to report, given the weather's been rainy despite being warmish. No walks, boo. I guess I'll get them in as the season improves. For now, good night!

I bought a Large Cold, Large Earth and Large Water Habitat for my Water/Plant one and a Large Light to replace the regular one. I had 309 gems and I brainfarted and restarted Lumen and Tropius breeding before I realized I hadn't moved Lumen into the Large Light. I didn't want to wait the 9 hours so I wound up using 9 of my gems just so I could move him and sell the regular Light Habitat. I still have 300 so it's not that big of a blow. The Large Cold and Earth still have an hour before they're done building and I can continue moving my dragons around. I also just bought a Large Rainbow to move my two Rainbows into in 6 hours. I need to make more hybrids to fill the Habitats so I'm gonna try alternating that and making money.
I moved Maskerade in with Tropius and Crue since you mentioned something about Motleys and Carnivals being together for the lulz.
Lastly, Antoinette singing Let It Go. She gets distracted partway through but she picks it back up and unfortunately the hallway is dark so you can't see what she's doing but I'm sure you get an idea, lol.
Edit: Bonus adorableness. Scales lying down before I switched his Habitats. :)

Whoops! Ah well, at least it was only nine gems. 300's still pretty impressive *whistles* I'm at 173 myself. *nodnods* Sounds like you've got a plan going. I still need to move my Air dragons up to the new Cold/Air island (if I'd thought, I could have just moved my Lightning dragons -- ah well, live and learn) and start building a Dark habitat so I can start on those hybrids. Also move a few Epic habitats around to try and free up space (Plant/Water and Earth/Metal are looking might crowded).
LOL -- yeah, they're just rather cute together. And they fit looks-wise, given the Motley looks like a jester. XD
Ahhh -- I like her wiggle-dancing. And her going out the door at the end. XD
Cute! I gotta give them this, the animations on the dragons are really adorable a lot of the time.

Date: 2014-03-31 12:49 am (UTC)Also, since the chart derped by putting the Blue Fire and Frostfire on the Island that'll give them a negative impact, I was thinking of doing the two Light+Cold hybrids to replace them and then I'd only have to figure out what would go in the Cold Habitat with the Hail and Blizzard. I bought a small Fire Habitat to move Milton out of there and I sent my Ember dragon in with him to keep him company since once I build the Light Boost he'll get a positive effect there.

Date: 2014-03-31 01:16 am (UTC)Aren't all the opposite dragons on islands that will hurt them? They can't be positively effected by boosts at all. That's why I've got Snowflame on the Plant/Water island. (Maybe I'll switch him and Needles and move Needles and Simon to the Cold island to free up a bit of space on the Plant/Water one. . .)

Date: 2014-03-31 02:42 am (UTC)Edit: And you're right about the opposite dragons. The guy has all of the opposites on an island that will be negatively affected by a boost. There will be rearranging. I just read the article on them on the Wiki.

Date: 2014-03-31 06:45 pm (UTC)I don't think he was really thinking about the fact that Opposite dragons will always be hurt by the same boost that helps them. . . Ah well. We'll figure it out -- we've got room to play (eventually, anyway!)
