I GOT THE JOB

crossover_chickThey called me up this afternoon (right after Dad and I were talking about it, amusingly enough), and I start this Wednesday! :D :D So I am gainfully employed! Doing spreadsheet things! I approve of this muchly :D :D :D
My housesitting has also resulted in a pleasantly hefty paycheck -- I've covered my rent for the month with it. :) So yay for that, even if it did involve sleeping in a not-so-comfortable bed. At least last night I had Victor Plush, Alice Dolly, and one of my blankets (I kind of sleep in a nest of plushies and blankies). And again, the money is worth it.
Other good news of the day -- I have a Cotton now in DragonVale. Named it Lamb. :) It's living on my Plant/Lightning Island, where it will pull in the good bucks. Still working on the Leathery. I also FINALLY beat that dragon boss in the Temple of Flame. Took me two attempts, but I finally did it by using my head and equipping fire resistance and extra water damage. Used a similar plan with my Dunket Cavern boss -- an armadillo man who is a time traveler! No, seriously, he basically stated himself as such when the Temple of Spark unlocked after the boss fight. This game just keeps getting more and more awesome. XD Anyway, took him down in one go, and now working my way through the temple! After that, we go for the land of Cold creatures, so I should probably get the Fire Sword next. Depends on how far I am through the temple when I hit that point.
Weather was nice (if a bit on the chilly side for a while -- seriously, the day started at 47 degrees), so I got in a good walk. I also wrote some -- though I wasn't feeling either "In the Land of the Dead" or the next chapter of "Forgetting You" Blu-Ray, so instead I worked on making "Remembering You" a bit better and longer. I'm going to have to figure out how to fit writing and RPing around my new job. . .first day won't be so bad, as it's an abbreviated day due to them having to set things up and such, but after that my shifts go from 8:30 to 4:30, and it's about a hour on the bus each way. . .eh, I'll make it work. I already know how to rely on the queue and suchlike.
Though speaking of RP, I do owe at least a few replies. Time to get on those. G'night all! :D

The Leathery and Cotton are due to hatch tonight, so yay. Cotton came with the name Buzz but I named him Eli after the inventor of the cotton gin.
I redid my spreadsheet again to add in the Leathery. The Tenth Island will be vacated of the Huge Trees today but the Boulder Piles still have 51 hours (ugh...). I kind of want Giant Habitats for the Earth/Cold Island but I can't bring myself to spend 125 in gems yet. Maybe after vacation.
This space for Colosseum. -.- forgot again. Spitz won a Gold and Sparky's in Lightning.
Um...I think that's it.

*nod* After vacation probably would be better -- you wouldn't be so stressed out about it then. Though I hope you got your 33 from Backflip!
I had to let my Colosseum slip -- we went out for dinner about the time I would have normally done it. Hopefully I can just remember to do it about 9:00 at night now! Anyway, Origami won Gold, and I've got the newly-aged-up Lamb in for Lightning.
