But then again, this day only shows up for a little while in BTTF canon, so I think it's forgivable. It is the day Doc first drops the title, though -- and when he and Marty first realize just what it is they're facing. Poor Dave -- can't get much in the way of headaches without a head!
Today was pretty nice, if a bit chillier and rainier than I'd like. Poor Mom had her laundry almost ruined by a cold sprinkle that hit around noon. Fortunately the rain was very on and off, so I still had my driving lesson. Did good for the most part, though there was a scary moment where I was thinking I had enough room to go at a stop sign before another car approached, but Mom didn't think so and I had to suddenly brake. Not fun. But the rest of the ride went all right, and the plan is for me to drive up to the bus stop tomorrow for part of the lesson, then go down to the parking lot to practice some night driving after work (since the clocks went back and it's basically dark by the time I get home). It's a schedule I can get behind.
More writing on Chapter 4 -- I'm basically throwing out a lot of what I wrote before in favor of something that hits most of the same beats but flows more logically. Not gonna be ready by this Friday, but maaaaybe next? We'll see how it goes. I do have a distinct "split" point for where the other main part of the chapter (Victoria and Alice having a private chat) will become Chapter 5, so that's good. Another story that's probably going to end up a lot longer than initially anticipated, but hey, so long as it's better for it. . .
Sims 4 today focused on Marty and Jennifer -- mainly, some house renovation turning their two bedrooms into one. And then rejiggering it twice so that they could actually use their bed for woohoo and their "hobby nooks" (their bedroom has two slightly extended areas with windows -- I put Marty's guitar in one and Jennifer's easel in the other. They had their first woohoo, then spent the rest of the day skilling or fixing their busted sinks. It was a nice ride once I finally got the bed layout right. And next week is Emmett, yay :) Thinking of playing next Saturday instead of Sunday because of the 12th -- feels appropriate. Though I'll have to work it in around me watching Part III. . .on the other hand, it's a three-day-weekend coming up, so I think I can manage.
Not much else to say -- watched Helloween's latest Castlevania set (more getting lost around the castle, battling monsters, and gaining the Mist form), caught up on Zero Punctuation, and I just finished up tumblr queues. Time to answer a couple of comments on AO3 and hit the sheets -- can't be too sleepy for my ride up tomorrow. Night all!
