Cold, Red Curse, and Sims 4 Dance Parties

crossover_chickYup -- I knew it was going to happen, but the coming of my period still managed to take me by surprise just as I was going to bed -- er, this morning, actually, given I stayed up until about 1:30. ^^; Fortunately I only got a little bit of blood on a pair of panties that are already pretty wrecked anyway. Has led to me feeling pretty lethargic all day, not helped at all by my cold. I've been feeling a tiny bit better on and off on that front -- my nose isn't quite so stuffy. Unfortunately, my cough is slowly worsening. Bleh. Good thing I'm not someone who usually makes plans for weekends! (Well, plans that involve going out, anyway.)
My Sims, however, had a pretty good day today -- and you'll notice I have a new Sims icon! I felt it about time to retire the Sims 2 EVL one, since I've been playing Sims 4 for a good few years now. The icon is actually from today's playsession, which involved quite a bit of going out -- Victor and Emma visited Vlad's place so I could raid the tree behind his lot for Plasma Fruit (this didn't happen, but Victor DID end up taking a cutting and grafting it onto his apple tree, so now we have a spliced tree that produces both); and Alice was invited out to a dance party at the Ancient Ruins by an NPC friend and took Victor and Emma along. I basically used the party as an opportunity for Alice to get her vampire on and earn experience by briefly casting Hallucinate on a bunch of the guests. She also compelled someone for a small drink -- she's pragmatic about filling her thirst, but she's not a true meanie who will drain someone to the point of collapse. She's earned a bunch of power points, and is inching her way up to the next level -- unfortunately, the power I need is one more level up. Well, at least she gets experience for studying her vampire lore too. . .
Other things that happened today:
-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" -- Victor and Marty having the "I'm really nervous about being a father" "don't worry you'll be fine" conversation, which is nice.
-->Watched a bunch of Helloween -- both of his latest The Evil Within 2 sets (Helloween remains both stealthy and salty) and the start of a new LP for what I believe is the last of the Dark Souls 3 DLC (new explorations in the end-game area, while being harassed by terrifying 'angelic' beings and having to make leaps of faith at the command of the Devs -- good stuff!). There's also a new Resident Evil 6 co-op campaign with his friend Klyka, but I'm saving that for tomorrow. :)
-->Also watched a Kubz Scouts Yandere Simulator video, where he tested out some things people were curious about and showed off the new Medusa easter egg (people who notice you turn to stone -- Jay found out how to make them dance eternally by pairing it with the JJBA Stand easter egg XD).
-->Did my Valice Multiverse queue -- yeah, another night of me not feeling up to active RP. Can you blame me with a cold and my period? There wasn't too much there anyway.
-->Watched the end of the Saints/Viking game with the family -- if you're a football fan, I'd recommend finding some clips if you didn't see it already. It was a heck of a thing near the end.
And that's about it, really. Gonna finish answering the stuff in my inbox, then I've got some fanfic to read, and I might go through my latest Sims pictures and select the ones that will be going in future updates. Having a bunch prewritten has made my life easier when it comes to queuing lately. . . So yeah. Night all -- here's hoping this cold's on its way out by tomorrow!
