First Solo Drive Day!

crossover_chickYeah, I ended up going to the store to get myself granola bars, rather than Mom and I going out to get a coat (which, fine by me, I didn't really want a new coat in the first place. My current one works fine). Drive itself went fine, despite the fact that I encountered a trash bin right in the middle of the road on the way there. Guy in front of me swerved, I was like "wtf" and then I saw the bin and was "oh yikes!" Nothing came of it -- I just did what the person in front of me did and went into the turning lane for a moment -- but figures that would happen on my first solo drive, huh? But I got my granola bars and made it home safely, and that's the important thing.
Of course, between that, the morning clean, and lunch, I didn't get on the computer until mid-afternoon. . .still managed to accomplish some stuff, though:
-->Wrote the rest of a "As Long As You Love Me" chunk -- pretty intense piece, too. Very murdery. But hey, now it's done and ready for the next time I post one of those on tumblr.
-->Played some BioShock 2 -- have encountered an EXTREMELY annoying bug where the battle music from a Big Sister fight just does not stop playing after you've beaten her. It just grates on your ears. . .and there's no real fix for it either. You basically just have to turn the music off until you complete the level and move into the next. *grumbles* At least I've made it further into the hotel -- also upgraded my health and EVE a bit, which is always nice. Currently fighting my way up to Grace at the top of the hotel -- hopefully that goes well! I mean, it should go at least a little better now that I know I can pick up trap rivets I've already placed on the ground. . .
-->Helped Mom make dinner -- pork chops with homemade applesauce (because we didn't have any on-hand), sweet potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. Came out well enough, although the pork chops turned out to be really tough. Bleh.
-->Watched an OXBox list about sequels radically different from their originals, a Kubz Scouts "Free Random Games" video (someone made a pretty decent video game from old Portal assets), and the latest "Wags To Riches" set from The Sim Supply (Katrina's raking in the money from ambrosia treats, blackberries, and dragon fruit). Also a video from "The English Simmer" talking about things she personally doesn't care about seeing The Sims 4 -- agreed with most of her points (don't really miss cars, never had the color wheel or totally open worlds so can't miss those, and had no idea people wanted preteens). Only one I disagreed with is saving Occult sims for later, simply because I've been having fun with vampire!Alice and it really makes me want witches back.
-->And currently doing the RP thing over on ValiceMultiverse, and about to do the queuing thing on my main blog. Plus answer some stuff in my inbox. Busy night!
So yeah, better get back to all of that. Night all, sleep tight!
