I expected it to be a lot more stressful than it was -- and I did have to make a couple of awkward phone calls to people to clarify pledges and such. But I was able to spend the majority of my day catching up on stuff that needed doing (such as pledge payments, and helping my coworkers get on some last-minute pledges), so that was good. Worst I can say about the day is getting interrupted a few times pushing back when I could take my lunch. *nods* I'll take it.

Day was definitely hot, though -- we're moving into our heat wave pretty quickly. I still got walks in outside, but I kept it easy -- very little, slow jogging, and only in shady areas. There's keeping myself it, and there's giving myself heatstroke. Also got the air conditioner going -- Mom says it's not actually that bad outside, but I like my room cool when I sleep. Plus I'm going to stay up and sleep in later than my parents, so it's probably in my best interest not to let any hot air in when the morning comes. Especially since the temperature's just supposed to keep going up this weekend. . .

On the productive side, I got another good chunk of "Fixing You" done -- some more of that slightly awkward period when Victor and Alice and company are done eating but it's not time to go to the Land of the Dead yet. Victor's gotten over his shyness enough to play some music, Fixxler's done some magic tricks, and there's been a bit of conversation about how awful Victor and Victoria's parents are. (Because both they and I could talk about that all day, honestly XD) It's good stuff, but I am still looking forward to wrapping it all up. Because then we get to go back, give everything a final polish, and start POSTING the darn thing. XD

On the video side, watched Helloween playing through the new backer beta copy of the main Bloodstained game, Ritual of the Night. It still needs a bit of extra polish and tweaking, but it looks super good already, and he had a lot of fun trying out weapons and murdering monsters. So Castlevania-inspired it almost hurts, but in a super-good way. XD Also watched a random video about a guy in Sims 3 who basically went chaotic evil for a twitch stream playsession (reducing the Sims' lifespans to 19 days, 8 of which are spent as a teenager; spending money on house gnomes instead of a roof; then making a new house after the game crashed which is basically one very flat rectangle with a HUGE roof). It's amazing just how funny that sort of thing can be. XD

Not much else to say -- got my Valice Multiverse queue done, got my VictorLuvsAlice queue done, just gotta answer the comment in the inbox and I'm good. Maybe watch this "Fun With Shorts" on creating cartoons, it's only about ten minutes. . . Got a lot of videos to watch this weekend, though. The Sim Supply has been very prolific with his Seasons Rags to Riches LP, and a lot of the sets are LONG. Which I'm not exactly UPSET about, I just gotta budget enough time to watch them! At least I've got some extra time off coming up next week to catch up if necessary. . .

Anyway. Time to do some more productive things on Dreamwidth. Night all, sleep tight, stay cool!
