Vacation Snaps!

crossover_chickYeah -- somebody on tumblr asked if I had pictures, so I got my folks to e-mail me the ones they'd taken earlier today. We actually have the most pictures of the Southwick visit -- probably because that was the one where we were thinking the most about taking pictures. (Kimball Farms had a time limit because Mom had to get to work; and Canobie Lake had us keeping the phones in Dad's pocket most of the day because we didn't want them to go flying during the rides.) You can see the Southwick Set here, and the Kimball Farms and Canobie Lake Set here. Yes, I DID go on that scary rollercoaster; no, I don't know what's wrong with me. XD
Work was super-busy today, though I didn't expect anything less -- had to catch up with all my imports, answer some questions, and get the credit cards and direct debits run. Got it all done, which is a good thing -- we're on a time limit here. Post-work Wednesday is when we send the back-up of our stuff to the people doing our new database -- then our old database gets locked down into Read Only Mode while the new database is set up. Nobody is entirely sure what we'll be doing on Thursday and Friday -- I ASSUME some training stuff on the new database program, but we'll see. But yeah, gotta put pedal to the metal with some of my projects. At least I'm mostly done with that one fricking parish and its separate credit card program. . .
Afternoon was pretty good -- I got in a nice walk (though I had to take a hat to keep my sunburns shaded -- they're not the worst I've had, but they're going to take a bit to fade); I got in a decent chunk of editing on Chapter 5 of "Fixing You" (they're in the village now, and have gotten a small taste of the general populace's feelings toward Victor -- soon to be a much bigger one); and watched Helloween's latest Vampyr set (we've met some more of the rather interesting staff and patients, and have discovered one of the nurses is sending people to Whitechapel for what appears to be free check-ups. . .also, there's either werewolves or a vampire breed that apes them in this game. Helloween calls 'em vampions or lionpyrs because he thinks they look like lions). Also got my pictures settle for my grand return update for Sims Wednesday on tumblr. . .and trust me, it is a grand return. FOUR PART UPDATE again -- I went completely picture-happy when I finally got to play my family again! Though a lot happened, and the first part of the update is basically just showing off the new house, so. . .
And now that I've gotten my vacation pictures up, it's time to empty the inbox and hit the sack. Keep your fingers crossed I can get a few of the things on my plate settled tomorrow! Night all!
