Keeping It Short

crossover_chick-->New system is up at work. Didn't have much to do, though, beyond poke around a bit as the people in charge of the system had to run the totals to make sure the new system matched the old's totals before we actually put on any gifts. Actually ended up getting out slightly late because we were discussing other things we needed to make sure the new system can do. Credit cards are looking to be a real issue, and I've got to call a few people about transferring their GGP gifts to the new vendor.
-->Got another chunk done on Chapter 6 of "Fixing You" -- or, rather, I got a chunk REdone, as I wasn't happy with the way I ended a certain bit and ended up rewriting it and making it longer. Allowed me to add in a cute sequence with Victor thinking about him and Alice having a house together. . .though it almost ends bad, because of his current issues. Poor guy.
-->Been spending most of the night getting the next bunch of pictures up from my Sims game, so I'll have them ready when it's time to post an update. Why?
-->Because the fucking internet here has been essentially out since 8:30. Basically, the moment I tried to watch the latest episode of The Sim Supply's "Rags To Riches Seasons" LP, the internet started going out, and kept going out. We've had little islands of service here and there -- five, ten, fifteen minutes -- but I haven't been able to watch any videos, or really do ANYTHING requiring net access (it happens even when I'm not on YouTube). Good thing I'm already ahead on my queue a bit and it's one of my "free" nights on The Valice Multiverse! Dad thinks Cox might be deliberately screwing with our service since we recently downgraded to just net -- I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm willing to give them the SLIGHTEST benefit of a doubt as the modem appeared to be continually rebooting, so it might be mechanical error. I don't know. We're going to call them in the morning and see what happens.
Add onto that that I didn't get my afternoon break properly, and thus I didn't actually send myself the little document I use for drafting my replies to stuff in my inbox. . .not that I trust the net to stay on long enough for that. And we've got another heatwave going. Basically it's been kind of a shitty Monday and I want it to be over. *heavy sigh* I think I'll get the rest of my pictures done. Night all.
