crossover_chick: a vampire version of Alice Liddell and a human Victor Van Dort kissing (SIMS: Vamp!Alice and Victor Smooches)

At least based on today's weather -- temps in the 60s and really cloudy all day. I was going to go out for a walk, but it was just so gloomy and kinda chilly I ended up doing one of my YouTube workouts. Long pants and a hoodie today, and I'm wearing my bathrobe right now -- which I haven't in months, so you can tell I was cold. Tomorrow's supposed to be even more miserable with actual rain, but then I think the temperature's supposed to recover a bit -- back into the 70s, at any rate. I'll take that. As stated multiple times over the past few days, I want to keep the ability to get fresh air just for a little while longer.

Day was pretty nice despite the icky weather, though:

-->Started edits on Chapter 7 of "Fixing You" -- Victor, Alice, and Fixxler visiting Emily's grave in the woods to pay their respects before heading Downstairs. Poor Victor, he feels so bad he can't do more for Emily's memory. . .at least I was able to undercut the sad a bit with Alice making a "harem" joke. Which kinda-sorta references the fact that I have a fair few universes that ship Victor, Victoria, Emily, and Alice all together. . .

-->Watched a bunch of OXBox and OXTra videos -- characters that forced you to compete in races and then cheated their little heads off; games where certain elements were definitely referencing, if not outright ripping off, certain movies; more horrible places to hold fighting games (such as on a fast-moving river at the edge of a waterfall, the crater of a volcano, and inside someone's body); and times when you should have really killed the villain a LOT earlier. All good stuff.

-->Also a couple more Call Me Kevin videos -- another one featuring his favorite Playmobil game from childhood, "Hype: The Time Quest," which remains surprisingly creepy for a little kid's Playmobil game -- and very frustrating to poor Kevin in one particular boss fight (to be fair, it's a mirror match against an evil version of Hype); and more early Sims 4 stuff, where Jim Pickens and his compatriots have to take care of another Jim Pickens in the neighborhood (I'm starting to think the playlist is either a) out of order or b) missing videos, as Kevin references stuff I haven't seen at ALL at the beginning of a lot of these episodes).

-->Played some Sims 4 -- basically it was "get Victor a bunch of power points so I can make him a Master Vampire, get him Perfect Sun Resistance, and then move onto the McFlys so I can celebrate Harvestfest with a family that will actually EAT a grand meal." Which, with a lot of vampire training and sparring with Alice, plasma drinking, Vampire Lore reading, and mesmerizing of Sims, I succeeded in! Ah -- I love my OTP family, but I don't think Harvestfest is quite for them in their current state. XD

-->Watched some Sim Supply videos -- first, another episode of "Rags to Riches Seasons," which was mainly a) celebrating New Year's Eve (despite nobody being able to watch the countdown on TV until James bought the super-big one) and b) going fishing to catch an angelfish so Luna could finally make ambrosia. Looks like Benedryl shall be rejoining the land of the living next episode! And second, a rather interesting house makeover video with Dr. Gluon, where James took one of his builds and trashed it to look like something out of a cross between 1984 and Fallout. XD It was a pretty interesting idea, and I liked what they did with the place. I mean, it's likely uninhabitable by any Sim who can't teleport (and maybe not even then), but it IS the remnants of a house destroyed by nuclear war, sooo. . .

-->And watched a Helloween video -- next set of Resident Evil 4. Leon and Ashley demonstrated admirable teamwork navigating a truck-driving and shooting-dudes section -- and then the main villain showed up to ruin everything by revealing he can control the parasites in their bodies and basically mind-controlled Ashley into coming with him. And then there were MANY quick-time events, and Helloween raged. Seriously, this game is SUPER unforgiving with them -- if you don't mash to its complete satisfaction, Leon is very dead. (Incidentally, Helloween had to buy a new keyboard recently after his old one broke. I wonder why?)

Not too shabby for a Sunday, right? Also it was the first official game of the football season, and the Pats won, so that was good. Hopefully they'll have a good season this year, just for the sake of my dad's blood pressure. :p

Okay -- gotta finish up Valice Multiverse queue, then clear out my inbox and hit the sheets. Another day of work tomorrow. . .can't say I'm looking forward to it, but as I have mortgage payments. . . Night all!
